Dinner was amazing. Chase and Zara were sitting on the small swing set in her backyard. Her father had got it for her fifth birthday. She still remembered the day like it happened just yesterday. She was crying because Diane and Melvin (Zara's much adored father) had forgotten her birthday but she was so surprised to find a swing set in the backyard that she hadn't gotten off it for the whole day. The sky was clear with stars twinkling all around but the moon was not to seen anywhere. The both of them laughing and talking about their childhood, the way both of them fought and quickly forgot about when Chase's mother would give them Chocolate ice-cream. Finally Chase started about Zara's dream.

"Why do you feel so strongly that the dream is real", he asked.

"I've have this strong gut feeling", she said.

"You better get your gut checked. Something's wrong with it", Chase joked.

"Oh shut up, I'm not constipated!", Zara half shouted and Chase started laughing. Zara slapped his arm playfully. Chase's playful gray eyes suddenly clouded seriously. He took Zara's hand in his and looked straight in her eyes.

"I know you never lie to me. We'll figure out this dream thing", he said.

"Thanks, Chase. This is why you are my best friend", Zara smiled at him.

"Meet at the library tomorrow".

"Why the library?",asked Zara. She always hated libraries. She just couldn't sit and read silently. You are very used to talking a lot and parties when you are friends with Chase. The boys at school hardly talked to anyone and then there was Chase. He used to talk to every person possible and attended every possible party and still he liked the quiet library and books. Zara thought that it was an odd combination.

"We're meeting at the library because that's where you find a lot of books and for your condition we're gonna need a book on psychology and you're likely to find that in the library", Chase stated. "So the at the library at 11:30 in the morning, sharp. Don't be late".

"Fine", Zara scowled. She was always late, be it school or anything. "But can we meet at 12:30 instead? Please?".

"No", said Chase, simply. "Besides, I should get going. It's getting late".

They went back inside and Chase thanked Diane and Melvin for the dinner. He then Zara and left, reminding her not to be late.

Zara did not want to sleep. She was afraid that she'd see that horrendous dream again. She decided that she'd do her homework listening to some music. She put her earphones on and started with her homework. She had lost track of time so she glanced at the table clock on her study desk. It flashed 2:30 a.m.

Well, I did a lot of studying, she thought to herself. her eyelids were starting to get heavy and she let out a loud yawn. She stretched her arms and headed to her bed. She pulled her soft blanket over her and fell asleep instantly.

Zara was in a beautiful long silk gown. The gown reached the ground and had elaborate designs beautifully stitched on the sleeves and upper part of the gown. The skirt was plain. She was in the woods. There were no woods in West Cliff but here she was venturing into the unknown. Zara could hear a voice, a male voice, calling her name.

"Zara Reagan Knight, you're the best thing that has happened to me", it echoed. Zara had no idea whom the voice belonged to but it was soothing and surprisingly it radiated truth or she felt so.

Was she the best thing that happened to someone? If so, then to whom?

She opened her mouth to ask who was the talking. But the only response was "You'll find out soon enough", and the world around her started to faded until there was darkness everywhere and she drifted into a sound undisturbed sleep.
