Chapter 5 (Hide and Seek)

Me and my friends went outside with a large gasp from everyone, it was snowing! I went to check on my human calendar on my I pod and found out that today was Christmas!

"Guys it's Christmas! " I screamed then realizing that no one knew that, In all my life I have never seen so much snow in the Lost Cities, And I don't ever really check my I pod calendar. " Oh right only Fitz knows what that is , let's see, so basically Christmas is supposed to be a holiday to celebrate Jesus' birthday but mostly- Theres a big fat man with a white beard and mustache and goes around the world giving Kids in the forbidden Cities at midnight."

"ok Foster, If you say so. ANYWAY after Foster's meltdown of craziness-" I blushed if on cue , "Let's play that game of hide and seek"

I dashed outside and voted Linh to be the seeker, Then I quickly ran as far as I could go but still in Everglen, Then I quickly realized I was somewhere at Everglen but I didn't think anyone had been there, I was in a cave, a crystal cave, I went deeper into the cave and there was this pathway it lead to a beautiful glistening lake with clear water and crystals around it. I looked down and saw two crystal flowers, a white one and a transparent teal one, then I studied it when something just clicked- Thump* thump* thump* Footsteps. I Tried to run or find a way out but I was lost, so I found myself at the lake again. I needed to defend myself, I know that transmitting would be ok but I know that I had gotten something out of the lake, A connection so I closed my eyes and concentrated. I felt a tiny tingle on my hands then a flowing feeling in my mind and fingers. I concentrated even harder and the flowing stoped, It felt as if it froze, I opened my eyes to see Biana, Fitz, Keefe, Linh , Tam, and Dex staring at me with their mouths dropping so low I thought that it would soon touch the floor. I looked at what I did and I saw flowing water in the air and some on the ground. then it was lifted up in a wiggly shape and at the ends- well it froze in a straight line pointing up and out. I had realized my hand and my mind was still at full concentration and quickly let it go down only to release the water and unfreeze the ice.

" WOW " Both Fitz and Dex said breaking the silence, I swear from now on I will call them the 'wow' boys.

"Sophie when have you learned that? And what-how-where?"Linh asked

" I dunno I just heard footsteps and wanted to defend myself just incase and I felt this click or a answer to a puzzle piece in my mind. I am an Froster, and a Hydrokenetic. ( Did I spell that right? Hydrokenetic?)

Then I felt a rush of dizziness and that last thing I heard was shouts of "sophie! Sophie!"
