It's December 25th, Christmas Day as I'm writing this, and completing this story feels like a Christmas present all within itself. What started off as a daft bit of fun for me has turned into a little labour of love. Over the course of these two books, I have grown to love each character I've created. Oliver, Charlotte, Hades, Amadeus, Gabrielle, Metatron and all the others have worked their way into my heart. To be perfectly honest, I didn't see how attached I'd become till I finally reached the end. But I'm glad I did, because it makes this story much more special to me.
This ending, for me, was the most fulfilling part of it all. Allowing this couple to finally get their happy ending, after everything I have put them through. (It sounds kind of sadistic when I put it like that, but hey, you get what I mean.)
With that being said, I've made the decision to leave their story there. I will not make any further additions to this series, as I want them to keep their happy life. I want to leave it up to you, the reader, to imagine in your heads how Oliver, Charlotte and Laura enjoyed their lives together. It just seems that much sweeter and more fitting.
However, this does not mean I am done with this story. I'm way too attached to let them go just yet. Once I get this story published, I've decided to give myself a break from this, before coming back (almost definitely next year) and giving these books a once-over. A bit of editing here and there, adding a chapter or two to further develop the characters (something I have realised in hindsight I probably neglected to do, which has annoyed me to no end), just to make sure I give these characters the proper attention and journey that they deserve.
With that being said, I want to repeat my dedications to @Yukkihime and @BirthdayPigeonWrites for giving me the motivation and support I desperately needed to get this story off the ground in the first place. Without you, I wouldn't be feeling this sense of fulfilment I do now. And to add on another one. To any reader who has sat through this story to the end. It would mean a lot to me if anyone got this far and I would like you to know how truly grateful I am.
