Written In Our Code [On Hiatus]

Finally!

"Ben. Who are you?" The kid asked.
"I'd rather not talk to a kid who's eyes are bleeding and broke into my house. Did you escape from the Underworld?" I asked with a bored sigh.
"What? No! You've never heard of me?" He asked, surprised.
"It's a very good cosplay, I'll admit. But, why have you come to my house? I have a date and I need to pack. Actually, never mind, I'll just send you back to to wherever you came from." I snapped my fingers and a portal appeared beneath him and he fell through it.

Now that that weirdness was over, I was finally able to finish packing and then catch my flight to Cincinnati.

Mark was in his casual clothing, but it didn't really reveal that it was actually him so he wasn't being swarmed by his millions of fangirls. I was the only one besides Jack and Felix and his two best friends who could recognize him.

Who were standing next to him.

I was wearing a black and white turtleneck with the shoulders exposed, a soft crimson scarf, and black skinny jeans. For shoes, I wore tan ankle boots with fringe on it, and black fingerless gloves. I had my red hair in a side ponytail and a fedora with my mascot on it. MaXi The Fox. I got it from a fan.

"Hey, how are ye, Max?" Jack asked, hugging me tightly.
"You're about to crush me to death, but otherwise, I'm great." I said with a smile.
"Hey, don't kill her, Jackspidecy--" Felix said jokingly.

Mark was trying to act nonchalant, but he kept glancing back at me. Jack released me and then I noticed one of his fingers glitch out a bit. He sharply inhaled as if it hurt him.
Don't worry, I'll protect you from him. Just keep thinking of happy things  I sent the thought at him with an encouraging smile. He smiled back, though I couldn't help but think it seemed a little forced.

I suddenly jumped onto Mark, shocking him and causing him to yelp in surprise.

"It's good to see you." I replied as I ended up piggybacking him.
"It's, uh, good to see you too. Can you get off of me before I fall and crush you?"
I pouted and then climbed off of him. And then hugged him.

"Let's go!" I said eagerly.

"Alright!"
"Finally!"
"Let's do this shit!" Everyone cheered before walking to this exit.
