they called her Stick Girl. she was only in seventh grade, but already some other girls her age were teasing her about not having curves like them.
they made fun of her for not having something they did.
it was stupid, really; but it still bothered her.
she was excluded because of it. considered the outcast.
it hurt.
she didn't even know why they were teasing her about being a "Stick Girl" when she was really just better off.
she could run faster. she was lighter, and more flexible.
so in reality, being called Stick Girl really didn't matter.
but that didn't mean their insults hadn't hurt her.
