they never called her beautiful. they never noticed her the way she wanted them to. she was always ignored, always left alone. it hurt that they only noticed the thin but busty girls who caked makeup on their faces and not her.
she'd tried being different once; it was absolutely horrible.
there had been catcalling.
whistles.
smug looks on their faces.
and the things they said to her...never again.
after that day, she promised she would never change herself for those boys ever again. and she didn't.
...but she never stopped feeling lonely. there was always an emptiness where her love for other people was supposed to be.
