I'm queen now. Thats all I can think about, it's shocking isn't it? I was a normal girl in one moment and now I'm queen of Kypris. Is there a book I need to read on how to be queen? Probably not. I felt that the crown was heavy, I wasn't sure if it would offend my ancestors if I took it of, but I did any way. I couldn't see any friendly faces, or faces that I knew in general. I spot the maid in the corner of the room and start walking over to her, I smile at her when she sees me coming over.
"I never caught your name" I ask the maid with a friendly tone.
"Workers of the royal palace aren't meant to give out their names to royals." She reminds me.
"Well I insist" I say while laughing. She smiles at me starting to see that i'm not a normal type of queen but a more humble one.
"Well then my name is Raven, like the bird" She replies. It's a lovely name I think to myself. Raven says
"I was also told by The Voice to take you on a tour of the palace so you don't get lost and to take you to her after the tour." She tells me while leading me to a a long corridor with doors at every side. It's long and mysterious, each door has different engravings with words and pictures. The one that stood out the most to me was a door with a rose with the petals falling, the words on the door are damaged and there are scratches all across where the door knob is. I notice that all the other doors are perfectly fine, like they have just been renewed.
"Whats behind this door?" I comment pointing to the damaged door. She looks at me then to the door and sighs.
"No one knows, we have been told strictly by the old king, your father, not to enter that room no matter what. Everyone is curious though" I look at her then start to laugh slightly.
"Well as he isn't king any more and I'm the new queen don't you think I would be allowed into the room?" I say with a devilish look on my face. She just laughs and nods. I went through my pockets remembering The Voice gave me they keys to every room to this palace and I try one by one to open the door until I find one that matches.
"Are you ready?" I ask Raven, She nods in agreement. I push the door open slightly and my jaw drops, I think Ravens jaw dropped open too. Im confused on what it is, but it looked like something i've seen on TV.
