Ok, I promise that the chapter after this will be about the ball. I just want to add a little more tension to this story and a little more drama. And I didn't get enough to time to write today, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut this chapter off very soon. I apologize, but the next chapter will most likely be somewhere between 4 and 6,000 words. I hope you guys like it. I'm so happy you guys keep reading. I never thought that no one would read it, but apparently I was wrong. I love you guys so much! Enjoy the chapter!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Megan opened the front door and peeked outside. She smiled and closed the door again. "Our ride is here!" Megan shouted.
Regina and Madison came to the front door with confused looks on their faces. "What are you talking about? What ride?" Madison asked furrowing her brow.
Megan smirked. "I may have pulled some strings."
"What did you do?" Madison asked now slightly concerned.
"Just come and see."
"Fine, but I swear if this is a prank I am going to kill you."
"It's not a prank. Just come outside."
"Ok, ok. We're coming." Regina said.
They all walked outside into the cold winter air and dark sky. Regina and Madison's eyes went wide, and their mouths practically dropped to the floor. "Oh...my...god!" Madison gasped.
"No fricking way!" Regina smiled.
"Do you like it?" Megan asked.
"We love it!" Regina exclaimed.
"Shall we?" Megan asked.
"Of course." Regina and Madison said at the same time.
The three girls got into the limo and started driving to the Wilson's house.
———————————
The ball hadn't started yet but it was going to start any minute now. Robin was chasing after Matt and Amelia. They wanted to play tag, and he agreed. "Tag! You're it!" Amelia shouted touching Robin's side.
"Ah! You got me!" Robin shouted with a smile.
He had been chasing around Amelia and Matt for the past half hour. Then the grandfather clock struck seven. Right as the last chime struck, the doorbell rang loudly and echoed throughout the entire house. "I'll get it!" Amelia shouted.
She ran over to the door and opened it. A bunch of people filled the room and looked around at the beautiful house. There was always a large group of people that would show up on time, right on the dot. It was very often that everyone showed up on time, but that's just the way people are. Robin's family came over and greeted the people. "It's so nice to see you again!" Rose said she hugged her friends.
"It's good to see you too." A woman in an dark purple dress smiled. She hugged Rose. "Wow Rose. You still look amazing."
Rose was wearing a red strapless mermaid cut dress. She blonde hair was out up into a low bun, and her hair was curled. She was also wearing a white shoulder shawl and matching white gloves that went above her elbows. She paired it with a pair of pearl earrings with a matching pearl necklace.
———————————
"Oh my god!" Madison shouted.
"What is it?" Megan asked.
"I left our masks at the house!" Madison shouted.
"Great what are we going or do now?" Megan asked.
Regina took a deep breath and looked at the limo driver. She scooted across the seats until she was right behind the window that speared the limo driver from the passengers. "Excuse me?" Regina asked tapping the limo driver on the shoulder.
"Yes?" The limo driver asked turning quickly to look at Regina then back at the road.
"Can you turn around? We forgot out masks at our house, and we're going to this masquerade ball, and it's kind of pointless to go to a masquerade without a mask." Regina explained.
"Of course I can." The limo driver smiled.
"Really? Thank you so much! You're a life saver! Let me know if there's anything I can do! I seriously owe you one!" Regina exclaimed. She leaned forward through the window and kissed the limo driver on the cheek. When she leaned back, she looked into the rear view mirror and noticed that the limo driver was blushing.
Regina smiled at him and turned back. They felt the limo turn around. They were going to be a little late. Regina, Megan, and Madison continued to talk until the limo stopped again. Madison ran inside and disappeared into the house for a couple minutes. Then she reappeared from the house holing three masquerade masks in her hand. Regina could see the masks sparkling in the moonlight. Madison jumped back into the limo. "Ok, I got them. There was an extra so I grabbed that one too, just I case anyone forgot theirs. Anywyas, let's go!" Madison said slightly out of breath.
The limo driver started driving. Regina scooted back up higher to the black leather seats. Regina had always been a friendly person, and she liked meeting new people, especially because this was her first time out of the country. "I never got your name." Regina smiled at the limo driver. She leaned forward and placed her elbows on the window.
The limo driver turned to look at Regina. "Um uh my name is Arran." The limo driver stuttered nervously.
"Nice to meet you, Arran. My name's Regina. Regina Mills." Regina said holding out her hand.
Arran twisted his arm over so he could shake Regina's hand. "It's a pleasure meeting you too Regina." Arran said in a very refined British accent, more refined than Robin's.
Regina smiled, and Arran chuckled. "What is it?" Regina asked curiously.
"Nothing. It's just...you have a beautiful smile." Arran said with a pearly white smile.
Regina blushed slightly. "Thank you Arran! You have a very beautiful smile as well." Regina said jokingly.
They both chuckled, but Megan and Madison just sat in the back of the limo in awkward silence looking back and forth between Regina and Arran and themselves. Madison leaned over to her sister. "Do you think she's flirting with him?" Madison asked with a grin.
"I don't know, it's hard to hear them, but I'd assume so." Megan explained. "She's so flirty. Do you think she's like this with Robin?"
"I don't know. Why would you expect me to know? We only met the woman like eight hours ago. You can't expect me to know her entire life story."
Regina went back to her original seat and saw the twins stared at her. "What?" Regina asked defensively.
"Two things. One: You are the biggest flirt I've never met." Madison said.
"I was not flirting. I saw just making conversation."Regina defended.
"That's the worst excuse I've ever heard. And I'm the queen of excuses." Madison stated.
"You remind me a lot of my good friend Emma. You'd love her. She is basically a twenty four year old version of you." Regina said pointing at Madison.
Madison rolled her eyes. "Anyways, and two: I think our limo driver has a little crush on you." Madison whispered to Regina.
"I don't think so, and his name is Arran. "Regina said looking at Arran who's eyes were glued to the road.
"You are so naïve Regina."
"Meg." Madison whispered.
"What?" Megan asked.
"Twelve pounds says that Arran asks Regina out before or when he drops us off."
"You are so on." Megan shook her sister's hand.
"Why are you two betting on my love life?" Regina asked quirking up an eyebrow.
"Because it's fun. It's like watching that American TV show. Oh what is it called?" Madison wondered searching through her mind.
"The Bachelorette?" Regina asked.
"Yes! That's it!" Madison exclaimed.
Regina rolled her eyes and scooted back up to Arran. "If you get us there in the next ten minutes, I'll give you anything you want. I just want to get out of here. Those two are driving me insane." Regina said half serious.
Arran chuckled, trying not to let Megan and Madison hear. Regina chuckled too. "I'll do my best, milady." Arran smirked.
When Regina looked at him, he had a dimpled smile as well.
Why does everyone have dimples in this country, and why can't people this cute in America? Regina thought. She didn't really get a chance to get a good look at Arran until now. He was actually pretty handsome. He had perfectly styled light brown hair, even with his driver's cap on. And he had the greenest eyes Regina had ever seen. Not to mention his insanely charming smile, and he just seemed to be charming in general. And he appeared to be physically fit, Regina noticed from Arran's extremely broad shoulders. Stop it! Regina mentally hit herself in the head, but accidentally hit herself in the head physically. Arran looked over with a confused and shocked look on his face. "What was that for?" Arran chuckled.
"Honestly," Regina began. "I have no clue."
"You are an intriguing woman Regina Mills, a strange woman indeed." Arran smiled.
"Likewise." Regina smiled.
And then they all continued to drive in silence.
———————————
They had finally arrived at the Wilson's house. Arran stopped the limo. He opened the limo doors and let Madison and Megan get out first, then Regina. All three of them out of limo. When Regina looked over at Arran, she admired how physically fit he was. He had a slim waist and broad shoulders. He was very tall, taller than Robin (then again, pretty much almost everyone is taller than Regina). His hair was still perfectly, even after he took off his driving cap.
Considering Arran was limo driver, he was dressed very nice. From what Regina could tell, he was wearing shiny black dress shoes, black pants, and a dark blue velvet suit jacket with black lapels. He was wearing a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie that appeared to be slightly crooked. "Thank you so much for driving us!" Regina said with a smile. "I'm sorry your bow tie is crooked, may I?"
"Of course. It was my pleasure driving you and your friends to the ball." Arran said as Regina fixed his bow tie. She had to stand on her tip toes to reach his bow tie.
"They're my friend's cousins." Regina explained.
"Aww, I see."
She chuckled slightly and blushed. Luckily it was dark out, and he couldn't see her blush. Arran stared at Regina in the moonlight. She look absolutely gorgeous. Right down to her beautiful dark brown eyes that resembled dark chocolate, and her small scar on her upper lip. He continued to stare at her as she gazed up at the moon. The Stars twinkling in her eyes. "Regina," Arran began. His breath increased. and his heart began to pound in his chest.
"Yes?" Regina asked looking away from the stars and into Arran's bright green eyes.
"Remember when you said that you owe me something for turning around?" Arran explained reminding Regina.
"Of course I remember that was like fifteen minutes ago." Regina chuckled.
"Well, I think I know what you owe me?"
Regina looked at him with a confuse face...I guessing you guys know what he's going out ask. The question is though, "How will Robin react to Arran?" Because of the masks, no one will be able to tell who anyone's. Robin won't be able to tell who Regina or Arran is. Will Robin be able to figure out which mask Regina is hiding behind or will he not get a chance to dance with her?
I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know it was very short, but I promise the next chapter will be much longer. I like drama because Theresa lot of it going on in my life right now, so I decided to put that into writing.
