Tikki's POV
I was resting in my Ladybug earrings thinking about life.
Life is such a short, fragile thing to mortals. Even for the Great Guardians. Sure, even though they might live longer than most mortals do, probably up to 100-200 years old, it's the standard lifespan for humans who come in contact with the Miraculous. Unless they get killed by accident.
Me and my fellow Kwamis were supposed to be dead centuries ago, but we were given a choice once we reached to mountains. We could become the world's first superheroes, but it would come at a price. After we had defeated the evil gods, we would come back to the mountain and Master Splinter would perform a ritual that would turn us into Kwamis. We would lose most of our humanity, he had warned. Still, the 7 of us had accepted our fate and became what we were now.
I remembered how everyone looked when I first met them. Wayzz, with his light brown hair and jade green eyes. The last time I saw him human, he wore a green t-shirt and tan jeans. He had worn the jade bracelet on his right hand.
Trixx had straight brown hair and hazel eyes. She had worn an orange tank top that mended into black and had worn blue jean shorts and purple rain boots. The necklace that would become Volpina's Miraculous had hung around her neck.
Dussu had had bangs and waist long brown hair. Her honey-colored eyes were striking against her dark skin. She had worn a white tank top that was covered up with a short sleeved light blue jean jacket. She had worn tall dark brown boots and tan shorts. Her Miraculous, the Peacock Brooch, had been attached to her belt.
Nooroo was a blond, and his swirly birthmark was covered up by his blonde bangs. He had worn tan jeans and a light purple t-shirt where his Moth Brooch had been pinned. His purple eyes had blazed through his bangs, making Dussu and Pollen fall for him.
Pollen had baby blue eyes and was also a blonde had had her hair pinned up in a ponytail by a bee hair comb. She had worn black slippers and leggings, a yellow tank top and a blue jean jacket.
And then there was Plagg. My heart ached just by thinking about him. I missed him. My Panther. Before Plagg had been the first Black Cat Ring wielder, he was just a common thief in ancient China many, many, many centuries ago. He had had black hair and emerald green eyes. Last I saw him he had worn combat boots, a pair of casual jeans, a black leather jacket, and a green t-shirt with 3 yellow stripes.
When the 7 of us met, we formed a team and went to the mountains to stop the evil ones from invading our world. Each of us played a role. I was the leader, Plagg was the muscle, Wayzz was the wise one, Nooroo was the brains, Pollen was the feisty one, Dussu was the peaceful one, and Trixx was the wild one. Before that, though, I was about to be married to a person I barely knew. I didn't want a life like that, so I escaped the life of a future empress and wife, met Plagg, and then, later on, we met the rest of the team.
Once we met Master Splinter, he gave us our each individual weapons. Dussu got a tessen fan, Nooroo earned the swords, or the katana blades, Wayzz received he sai, Plagg got the staff, Trixx received a staff with a blade sticking out of the end, I got the nunchucks, and Pollen got a small, thick chain. With these weapons, we trained, and once we deemed ourselves worthy, Master Splinter turned our ordinary jewelry into the Miraculous. "Your jewels must have been given to you by a loved one." Master Splinter had told us. Fortunately for us, they were. But equally unfortunately, after we got turned into Kwamis, I never got to confess my feelings to Plagg. I never got to know if he even liked me back.
Suddenly, I saw a flash of red and I sprang out of my box and materialized.
The Great Master was about to assign me the chosen one.
