Plagg's POV

I was peacefully sleeping on my cheese bed that Adrien's personal chef/food artist had made, when the alarm clock rang.

I ignored it. Surely Adrien would turn it off for me.

I loved France. It's not because of the sightseeing, or the famous stuff in the Louvre. It's because Camembert was invented here. Marie Harel created the original Camembert cheese from raw milk in Normandy, France in 1791.

Unbeknownst, to all my holders from the 1800, ever since I tried it, I have been secretly worshiping her.

The alarm clock was still ringing. I still ignored it.

I had always been the odd one in the Kwami bunch when it came to food.

Take Tikki for example. That Kwami had an uncontrollable sweet tooth for cookies, and Trixx loved anything with chocolate. Pollen loved honey (no surprise there, considering she's a bee), and Dussu loved gumdrops. Why she does, I'll never know. Once, when I had tried it, the chewy substance had gotten stuck in my teeth, leaving me unable to complain.

You had no idea what things were trapped inside of me that I couldn't say.

Anyway, Nooroo loved pizza and Wayzz adored any type of soup. Except of turtle soup. He absolutely despised people who ate and served the dish. All of the 6 Kwami's had told me to ditch my 2nd love of my life sugarcoated (like Tikki), or being flat-out rude (like Pollen).

The alarm clock was still ringing. Adrien was still asleep. I groaned and groggily flew out of my bed. The alarm clock was resting, like, a foot away from Adrien. That guy came sleep through anything.

"Adrien? ADRIEN!" I yelled. He stirred and mumbled something that suspiciously sounded like 'Ladybug'. I rolled my eyes. The kid had just met her for 1 day, and he already had a crush on her.

Wasn't it the same for you and Tikki? An annoying part of my brain asked. Shut up, I mentally said.

"Adrien, your father's here!" I shouted. Adrien rolled over and murmured, "5 more minutes, Dad."

Rolling my eyes again. "Adrien an akuma's flying towards you!" I said in my best urgent voice. My holder rolled over to the sound of my voice.

"Nice try Plagg, but I don't feel any anger or sadness," he murmured sleepily. I scowled. This kid was impossible.

An idea sparked my brilliant mind. BINGO!!!! "Hey Adrien," I purred sweetly. "I think I see Ladybug being pummeled by an akuma."

It was almost like magic how Adrien woke up. It was too hilarious to describe. Let's just say he woke up with his head banging on the ceiling.

I cackled. "Ah, how I wish I could see that in instant replay," I sighed in satisfaction. Adrien rubbed his head while he sat on the floor.

"Shut up," he whined. He glanced at the clock. "It's 5:30! Why'd you wake me up so early?" He paused. "Actually, you never wake up early. If you're hungry, you can always eat your bed, you know."

I loftily flew over to the alarm clock, which was still buzzing. "It's this thing. It won't shut up and I can't sleep. Can't a cat get its beauty sleep around here?"

Adrien walked over and pressed a button, making the ear-bleeding machine silence. I blinked when I realized what Adrien had worn to bed. I had fallen asleep earlier than him so I didn't see, but Adrien wore black sweatpants and a complete lack of shirt, showing off is abs. I rolled my eyes.

Show off. Back in my day, I had killer abs too. But I could tell that he was forced to look handsome while I was handsome naturally when I was human. But for a model, there was no difference. Adrien's hair was perfect when he rolled out of bed and his body was perfect. He must have an awesome diet. Girls must go gaga over him.

"I wonder why my alarm clock went off so early," he wondered. "My lessons usually start at 9:00 am." I shrugged.

"Don't ask me dude. I'm just a Kwami." Adrien rolled his eyes at my laid-back attitude.

"But if it'll help," I chimed in. "My old holder, Alex, use to wake up around this time to go to school. Without the new technology, I mean." Adrien straightened up like he'd been electrocuted.

"OMG, school! I totally forgot!" Adrien yelped. He quickly took a shower, got dressed and gathered his school supplies and ran downstairs.

"Man, I've never seen anyone want to go to school," I commented while he ate breakfast. Adrien shrugged and swallowed his cereal.

"Give me a break, I've been homeschooled all my life. It was actually my mother that encouraged me." Adrien's eyes darkened and the mention of his mom.

I opened my mouth to ask about his mom, but the sharp look from my holder stopped me. It was clear that he didn't want to talk about her.

Adrien finished his breakfast, grabbed his binder, and ran out the door. I glanced at the clock.

7:30.

"C'mon, Plagg, school starts at 8:00!" He huffed. I scowled and flew into his jacket. This guy was taking way too much advantage as my master.

Not that I'd even call him "Master". Only Wayzz and Nooroo do that.

I saddened. Poor Nooroo. Always the one to be used for the evil.

The unsteady jostling of Adrien tripping over an uneven piece of sidewalk shook me out of my trance, and I flew out of his blazer to witness the perfect model almost fall flat on his face.

I snickered. Adrien glared at me, and then shifted his intense glare a the jutting stone. I snickered even more.

Adrien glared at me again, to breathless to scold me. He took off running. I soared after him, feeling the wind brush through my whiskers. I sometimes wished the wind would brush through my former black hair.

"You're such a strange kid." I told him. "Why do you want to go to school if you can stay home all day?" I flew alongside the the new, denser generation.

"You don't get it Plagg. I'm tired of being shut up at home by my dad. I want to meet people and make friends. Go to a normal school just like everyone else." Adrien finished his speech and continued to set off to "freedom" at a faster pace.

I sighed and stopped flying alongside him. "I think I'm feeling weak," I whimpered dramatically. Adrien stopped running and walked up to me.

"You know what's strange?" He asked, using my previous phrase against me. "The fact that all you eat is this rotten, disgusting, Camembert cheese and then I have to smell like it 24/7. That's strange." Adrien unhooked his bag from his shoulder and gave me the cheese that he despised so much. "That's strange," he pulled a disgusted face as I tossed the cheese in the air and swallowed it whole.

"Hey," I exclaimed, "if you wanna transform into a superhero, than stinky cheese is the deal, my friend!"

Adrien groaned and rolled his eyes. He then turned his back on me and continued running towards the school, not waiting to see if I was following.

"Hey, wait up!" I yelped and flew into his white blazer.
