Plagg's POV
I was taking a cat nap, wondering when I was going to get food. I was starving.
Dussu always said I was a drama queen, but she's one to talk. She's always so emotional. I don't know how she's able to hold up with all the holders. Whenever me and Dussu get put together in the same region, I always see her crying. The reason she cries so much is because
1. She just parted with her holder
2. She misses her friends
3. She wasn't able to confess her undying love to NoorooHonestly, Nooroo might be a genius, but he had no idea that Pollen and Dussu were crushing on him big time when we were human. They still love him. And he's still oblivious.
Sadness washed over me. I missed my friends. I missed Pollen threatening to kill me if I messed with her stuff. I missed Nooroo and Wayzz chasing after me and Trixx when we had temporarily dyed their hair purple and green, with Tikki watching us motherly. I missed Dussu charging into battle with her tessen fan, going from peaceful to all-out-war-machine in seconds.
Seriously, if I had been placed into battle with nothing but a fan, I would've been dead meat in 10 seconds flat. I would rather stick with a bo staff. Of course, when I told Dussu that, her angry mode had been turned on, and she had whacking me with her tessen fan, yelling that I fought with a stick.
It had taken Pollen, Trixx, Wayzz, and Tikki's strength combined to peel her off me. Nooroo had been staring at us with his mouth open and I had been crawling away to hide somewhere. Of course, Dussu did apologize to me with emotional blubbering.
Suddenly, a voice pierced my silent thoughts, and in a split second I knew the voice belonged to my new holder.
"What's this doing here?" Adrien wondered aloud. I felt him pick up the small box containing me and opened it. I waited a moment and then sprang from the box, blinding him with a obistian black orb of light.
You should always make a good impression.
I opened my eyes and saw a teenage boy gawking at me. I looked back, unimpressed by my holder. Adrien had orange sneakers, blue jeans, and a black shirt that had one yellow stripe, one light green stripe, and one light purple stripe. His perfectly gelled yellow and gold hair fell into his brilliant green eyes.
He looked kinda like Nooroo did when he was human. I looked down at Adrien's shoes and noticed a black butterfly logo on it, just like an akuma. Now this should be interesting. I thought.
"No way. Like the genie in the lamp," Adrien said and poked me. I yawned and stretched. Poking someone while their asleep? Now that's just plain rude.
I smirked and said in my most charismatic voice, "Yeah, I met him once. So he grants wishes, big deal, I'm way more awesome. Did you know that I'm a Kwami and that I grant powers? Yours is the power of destruction. Got it? Good. I'm Plagg, nice to meet you, by the way."
I spotted a shiny coin that was on the table and swooped down to grab it. "Ooh, swanky," I squeaked. I threw it in the air and caught it in my mouth, chewing thoughtfully. Could use some melted Camembert as a topping. I swallowed.
Adrien nearly had a heart attack. "What the heck did you do?!" Adrien screamed in a half whisper.
"I ate it. Duh," I said as if I were saying 'how-can-you-possibly-not-know-that-idiot?' Kids these days. So stupid.
Adrien was mortified. "Cough it up!" He demanded. "That coin was from my mother's side of the family for 2 centuries. It's a heirloom!" He tried to snatch me.
I flew out of his grasp and shot over the thing that controlled the bigger, rectangular thing that was showing the akumatized villain; Stoneheart; saying, "Sorry. I have this super strong stomach. Once something goes in, it doesn't come back up."I jumped on the smaller, rectangle thing; a remote, it was called, and began to stomp on random buttons, changing the channels.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Adrien eyeing me, and before I can react, he had grabbed me. I yelped. "Hey! That's not how you treat your favorite Kwami of destruction, is it?"
Adrien shook his head disbelievingly. "My dad must be pranking me, right? Wait, he couldn't be, he has no sense of humor." Adrien answered his own question.
"Good, glad you figured that out, now got any food around here? I'm starving." I said cheerfully. I flew out of Adrien's grasp and faced him. "Oh yeah, FYI, your father must never know I exist. Or anyone, for that matter." I crossed my arms sternly, emphasizing my point.Adrien blinked and my sudden personality. "Geez, I didn't know that you had these sudden mood swings. You just went from carefree to strict in a matter of seconds." He chuckled.
I snickered and pretended to look offended. "Sudden mood swings?" I acted outraged. "That's more of Dussu's territory, right there."
"Who's Dussu?" Adrien asked. I waved aside the subject and focused on more important matters.
"The Peacock Kwami. You didn't think that I was the only Kwami in the universe, did you? I'd have no one to feed me!" I shuddered just at the thought. It was mortifying to be the only Kwami in the universe. I'd have no one to talk to, or feed me Camembert. And I was too lazy to get it on my own.
"Anyway, onto more important matters. There is a supervillain attacking your town, yes? What town are we even in anyway?" I got momentarily side tracked. Maybe I should've asked Mater Fu for some more info.
"We're in Paris, France. And yes, we are being attacked by a supervillain, Stoneheart. I just saw him outside. The guy's like, 10 feet tall and made entirely out of stone!" Adrien's eyes were wide.
I blinked. 10 feet tall and made out of stone? Dang, this guy was armored. "Ok then, no time to waste. We gotta get you ready to fight Stoneheart and save Paris." I muttered.
Adrien's eyes widened even more. "Fight Stoneheart? No way! Have you even seen that guy? He already broke a policeman's arm, and the military is terrified! The only hope that Paris has is to wait for a superhero." As soon as he said it, Adrien's dense mind wrapped around the situation, even more when I smirked at him knowingly.
"Oh, no - OH NO, I can't be a superhero! I'm a teenager! The only thing teenagers fear is getting a school essay, no getting squashed flat by a psycho villain! And I'm stuck here, I'm not even allowed to go to school! What good is a superhero that's imprisoned in their own house?!" Adrien flapped his arms wildly.
I flew around him jauntily. "No good," I told him unhelpfully. Adrien's posture sank and I added, "So that's why it's all going to change. If you're willing to change that is," I flew toward the couch and picked up the ring, which sat there, long forgotten in the commotion. I floated toward Adrien and dropped my precious ring in his hand.
I watched as Adrien stared at the stone, his expression shifting from fear, to uncertainty, to finally, determination. He slipped the silver ring on his finger. "What're my powers?" He asked excitedly.
