I get off the phone with Mari and sigh. she has been gone for two days and I am breaking apart. I had been third-wheeling with Nino and Alya and it made me think more of her. She makes my day everytime she smiles and I don't get to see it anymore. She really is the light of my world.
I look at my phone to see the time and I make a mistake. I look at my screen saver.

*Flash Back*
Adrien's P.O.V
Mari and I were walking the streets of Paris shopping for Christmas gifts with our best friends Nino and Alya. They still weren't together but me Mari were going to get them together that day. Mari told me that Alya had a crush on Nino and it was the same with Nino. It was pretty cloudy but not snowing, yet. We were little halfway through our shopping and we were getting hungry.
"Hey, lets go to Papa Joe's Pizzeria" I said. I had developed a little relationship with Joe, the owner of the restaurant, and he said he would do anything for me. So I was going to ask him a little favor. When we walk up to the exit, he would have put up a mistletoe. Mari and I would be holding hands then we would kiss. Then Alya and Nino would have to kiss. Perfect plan.
"Ok!" everyone says. So we make our way down the restaurant talking about nonsense. We get there and of course I pay (sense the Hawkmoth incident, I inherited my father's money and lived with Nino) and we get our seats. I have never been so happy in my life. With Father gone, I can finally do stuff I want to do. We order and Large Sausage and 4 sodas. We eat and talk more nonsense. Mari and I sit together on purpose just to see the awkwardness between our best friends. Mari and I couldn't stop glancing at each other. I accuse myself to the "bathroom" and go to find Papa Joe. He was in his office.
"Adrien! How have you been?" Papa Joe says
"Great but I could use a favor?"
"Anything my son" I tell him my situation and he agrees to help out. I make my way to my table and continue our conversations. I saw Papa Joe give me a thumbs up. 10 minutes later we were done. I quickly grabbed Mari's hand and we made our way to the door. We looked up and saw the mistletoe and kissed. Then, we turned around and saw our friends red as ever.
"Is that a-" Nino was cut off by Alya kissing him. First Nino was in shocked but then he melted into the kiss too. They broke apart and,as if on cue, light snow started falling. I grab Mari and kissed her again.
"What was that one for?"Mari says.
"Mari it was because I... love you Mari" I realized I haven't actually said that to her.
