Chapter 4:

Lol someone said my book slays twilight

What.

The rest of the day was pretty much shit after what happened. Things got a lot more boring without Luke to be honest. Even though Luke and I only conversed for short periods of time, I felt hurt by the way he shoves me out of his life.

And now it was time to go home. Calum and I were waking home since Joannah managed to ditch me - again - but Calum just laughed and said it was fine. I sigh.

I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder and turn to see Cal looking at me expectantly.

"I'm sorry, what?"

His eyebrows crease as he looks at me worriedly.

"You okay? You haven't been yourself the entire day" he asks me.

"Oh yeah I'm fine, don't worry about me" I told him, giving him a smile.

"You sure?" he said and I nod.

"What was it you were asking me?" I say in hopes of distracting him.

"Wait, what was-" his eyebrows crease once again then his eyes light up "oh yeah! I got invited to this massive college party before spring break wanna come with me?"

"A party?" parties were never really my thing. Having to wear a dress, liquor, horny ass students, but I was with Calum and I was pretty certain he would protect me, so why not? "sure, why not?" I shrug

"Great!" he cheers as he starts the car. "Okay let's take you home now"

"As always, thanks for the ride Calum" I say and he laughs.

"It's nothing. I could drive you everyday if you'd like" he offers.

"Yeah I feel like that's going to happen soon what with Joannah ditching me all the time" I sigh "but rain check"

"Okay, see you around Sinclair!" he greets and walks over to his complex. I smile and wave at him before turning the door knob and pushing open the door.

My smile turns into a frown when I see my mom nearly jumping up and down in glee with her 4 inch heels.

"What's going on?" I ask her and she looks at me excitedly.

"Go get dressed hun!" she said cheerfully clapping her hands "We're going shopping!"

"shopping- what?"

"No more questions hun just go!" she says and I roll my eyes as I remove my cardigan and put on a leather vest over my plain black tee shirt. I take my studded converses and put them on my feet before taking a bandana and wrapping it around my forehead.

She looks at my attire and frowns.

"That is not good for what we are about to do, go get dressed to something more dainty" she says and I roll my eyes as I pass by her, bumping on her shoulder.

"Yeah but since you won't tell me where we're going I get to choose what to wear, now let's go"

"A wedding dress shop?" I near yell at my mother as the car stops.

"Yes, since your wedding with Alvin was moved up a notch I thought why not start preparing now?! You have barely a month and you still have the cake, the reception, the church the-"

"You just don't get it!" I shout at my mother as she looks at me shocked.

"Don't use that tone of voice Angel Marie, you are going to do this wedding and you know it"
