Epilogue:

So yeah, Luke died, I'm sorry don't hate on Dianne as well lol ily all.

I've been staring at the wall for two straight days, not eating, not sleeping, not doing anything. I was breathing, but it didn't make sense cause my heart wasn't beating at all. My heart wasn't in its place between my breasts, closer to the left side. It was left there, with Luke, lying dead and cold on the pavement.

It's been two days but the truth hasn't sunk in just yet. To me Luke wasn't dead. He couldn't be. I love him so much and my only regret, other than not being able to save him, is that I didn't tell that to him while he was still alive.

My eyes dart to the bathroom and I see Luke there. I smiled, the first smile I was able to muster the last few days.

"There you are," I whisper and stand up, walking over to him. He only smiles as I hug him "I had a horrible dream"

"A horrible dream?" He asks me and I sigh and nod "hm.. Must be pretty bad."

"Yeah," I say and soon my senses came back to me. Luke wasn't there. I was hallucinating. Luke was dead.

I stand there in the middle of the room and all of a sudden I felt really cold, despite Luke's flannel wrapped around my body. His scent was fading but the thing is I don't want him to fade away. I don't want him to just be a memory. I want him to live forever, with or without me.

I sob in the middle of the room and soon I fell into a heap on the floor. I need Luke. Please.

"Angel," I hear my brother sigh as he collects me in his arms "shh baby hey," he says trying to comfort me as I snuggle up to him.

"Baby you have to pack up, we'll be leaving for New York soon" Michael reminds me, brushing a hand through my hair "we're all set, we're just waiting for you."

"I- I need time" I choke out.

"We've given you two days baby girl. I'm sorry, I know Luke's death is a big toll on you but we have to survive. You promised you'd take care of yourself, remember?" Michael reminds me and I numbly nod.

"Hmm." He hums "the least you could do is fulfill your promise sweetheart, it's hard, I know, but you need to move on, okay?" He says.

I nod up at him and kiss his scruffy cheek.

"Give me half an hour okay?" I finally say and he nods and kisses the top of my head.

"We'll be waiting outside." He stands up and leaves me alone, closing the door.

I let out a big puff of air and stand up, wiping my eyes. I take one last look around.

I walk to our closet and push back tears once I saw Luke's clothes. I take my luggage and stuff them neatly. To be honest, I think I packed more of Luke's clothes rather than mine. I sigh and take his perfume, I let out a small smile. At least I won't forget how he smells now. The same woodsy scent.

I stuff it in my luggage and take a few more of Luke's band shirts. As i was about to zip my luggage closed, I remembered Luke's flannels. I can't leave those. I bit my lip and eyed the highest shelf. There they were. I stand on my tiptoes and attempt to take them, once I do get a hold of the blue flannel, they all tumble down. I curse. Great.

Taking another duffle bag I stuff all my jeans and jackets that I needed, and also Luke's flannels. I also put picture of me and Luke, also taking his photo album, and the small stuffed penguin he always loved. As I was picking up the last of Luke's flannels I see an envelope, with my name on it. I pick it up and inspect it. It was Luke's handwriting.
