Hi Vertaylor shipper here. I hope you guys had a wonderful Holiday. In the spirit of the season I am writing a Christmas chapter. I'm a sucky writer but I must fulfill my duty to write this. If not me then for my all of my 2 fans. Enjoy
Veronika POV
Christmas Eve 2014
I had just got off work. The job of an interior designer is never done. People always want me to fancy up their homes for the holidays, while I barely have my tree decorated. I've been living alone for two years and I'm still getting settled. I took a big move across the country to Princeton, NJ. I recently met this super hot guy across the hall. I'm still not sure his name yet but I'm determined to find out.
So I walked into my apartment and ungraciously flopped on the couch. My plans for tonight were Netflix and wine; my favorite combination. Who cares if it's Christmas tomorrow? I didn't have anyone to spend it with so might as well get tipsy. I was onto my 3rd episode of riverdale and second glass of wine, when I heard a knock at the door. It was my god-like neighbor from across the hall. He was turned around. When he spun around to say something, he stopped and stared at my face. I was so entranced with his eyes I barely noticed him staring. I coughed to address that he was staring. He quickly looked away to hide the blush creeping onto his cheeks. He slowly looked back and started stuttering his reasoning for coming.
"I... uh..um...hi. M-my names j-jake. W-what's yours?" I blanked for a second thinking of the way his eyes sparkle when he talks.
"I'm Veronika. I nice to finally meet you after all this time. I mean..I...uh..I didn't...I didn't mean it like that. I just...it's just that I've lived next door to you for a while and I've never met you properly. Not like a crazy stalker kind of way." I mentally curse myself for being so stupid.
"So,any particular reason why you decided to show up on my doorstep?"
"Oh. Yeah. I wanted to ask if you....um...had any flour? Yeah I was baking cookies and I ran out of flour."
" oh...sure. " I ran into the kitchen and scavenged for the bag of flour. When I found it I ran back to the door.
"Here you go"
"Oh..thanks"
"So can I ask why you are wearing a Santa suit?"
"Well you could but I don't know myself"
" so...are you doing anything for Christmas?"
" no I'm just staying home. Not doing much. "
"Besides baking cookies right?"
"What.. oh yeah. So what about you?"
"Wine and Netflix"
"Sounds like my kind of night"
" you're more than welcome to join me if you like" I asked hopefully
"Sure"
"We'll come on in" I lead him into my living room and pour him a glass of red wine.
"You have a lovely home. A lot better planned than mine"
" well thank you. And I should hope so. I'm an interior designer"
"Wow really? That's cool. I'm an actor downtown"
"OMG that's amazing" I can't believe this cutie is an actor. I'd pay to see that show. "Do u want more to drink"
"That would be great thanks" A few more hours of Netflix, talking, and wine later, we were getting kinda tipsy. "Hey Roni, ever dream of kissing Santa?"
"Only since you got here"
"What would you say if I made your dream come true?"
"If like that very much"
And that was how the Christmas tradition. Every year when the holidays rolled around, Jake Taylor could be spotted in a red Santa suit, awaiting for his lover by the chimney. You now know why "I saw mommy kissing Santa clause"became the house favorite of the beloved couple.-Vertaylor shipper
