Veronika POV
People I used to know say that I'm crazy.
I'm not crazy.
I'm simply just infatuated with a certain neighbor of mine.
His name..... Well I can't tell you quite yet. He's been living across the street from me for 6 years. Or so I've been told. Time doesn't really seem to faze me anymore.
I've just been coped up in my room, staring out my window for his ever handsome locks. He's stopped leaving his house as often. I used to be able to talk to him in person. But then he was ripped from my grasp. Quite literally. My mom tore me away once I tried to lick his face in 4th grade. I've lost all contact with him since then. I can still feel his face under my tongue after these many years of solitude.
But today is not about the past. Today is about my future. I had decided 8 months ago to propose to my true love. He graciously accepted my proposal. It was ever so lavish. We went to dinner, all his favorite foods were laid out. Then we sat under the shimmering moonlight. I pulled him close and planted a simple kiss on his forehead. I looked into those sparkling brown eyes and lowered myself onto one knee. Without breaking eye contact I spoke those 4 magical words.
Well today is the day. I am going to spend the rest of my life with him. I'm dress in a gorgeous lace wedding dress. He is in a hand tailored suit. This is the happiest day of life. All of friends are here. Joey the turtle. Debby the dog. Ulysses the unicorn. And everyone from my room. I turn back to my soon to be husband and take a good look at all 9" of him.
"Veronika Paciorek, do you take this...uh...lad to be your awfully wedded husband?"
"I do"
"And Jake Taylor, do you take this woman to be your awfully wedded wife?" My husband shakes his head as a response
"You may now kiss the volleyball!"
Everyone in the room cheers with excitement. I can't believe I'm going to spend the rest of my life with this man.Veronika spent the next 7 years in that room with her volleyball husband. She was officially taken away to an insane asylum when she was 22, for the belief that she was pregnant with Jake's child. She eventually died of lung cancer alone in her hospital. Her last breath was the name of her lifelong beloved.
Hey guys hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'll try to update when I can but I'm very busy doing nothing. Don't mock my grammar mistakes because I siriusly don't care.
