The man who always greets me is waving right now from this distance. I reply him with my morning smile. He takes a breath and replies my smile and I know that it's always been my perfect morning hello.
"Good morning, Olivia. You look great today." He said.
"Bonjour. It's a perfect day, isn't it?" I reply.
"Yap, but I think there's something wrong with your empty plastic cup." He ask curiously.
"Well, it was a mess. But, never mind. I prefer thinking about my work." I giggle.
"I heard the news that there's a new manager hired here, but nothing of your type." He laughs with his both eyes closed.
"I love my life like this, Steven. Single and simple." I reply him proudly that my last three words rhymed.
I wish I could say that I miss dating someone too. But somehow, my fate is now set and I can't do anything but finding him ASAP. The office is always like this, Jane and Brenda, the receptionists always greet me, "Hi Olivia, happy morning!" I just love my life this, the people, the places, but not the fate that Madam Flaush gave me. As usual, I tidy up my table, looking for useless papers, making them into pom-pom balls and throw it into that pinky dustbin. I wish I could throw my horrible fate into a bigger dustbin. I wish......
"Hi." A familiar voice sounds right on the top of my head, starting the conversation.
I look up gradually as I bite my lips nervously, "You!"
"You work here, huh?"
"Gosh, I still remember what happened in the morning."
"It's okay. I'm just checking my employees. I'm the new manager here." He smiles.
"Alright, I'm Olivia, Olivia Johnson. And you are Grey? The man in front of the building told me about you."
"Yes, I know you. I read your name card, Olivia. Nice to meet you. You don't have to buy me a new coat. Just promise me that don't mess things up again, okay?"
"I hope so." I smile in full of relief.
The man outside was right. Grey is nothing like the man I always dream of, not my type. But I can see that he's a nice guy. Well, maybe he can be a good leader here, at least. I used to date many handsome princes but everything ended up badly. For me, appearance is important. I don't want to go for a walk with a guy with horrible face. Surprisingly, Grey is one of them, and I know that I'm too harsh now. But I have to admit that his face is weird, really.
