"So what do you say about going to prom?" Grayson whispers in my ear.
I stare at Dani trying to hint that I need help but, of course she's to busy googly eyeing Aaron. She's never any help.
"I don't think I'm even going to prom period."
"Why not? Valerie it will be fun. We would all be there." Ethan interrupts
"Well, I guess I'll go..." I trailed off.
I was uncomfortable because of Grayson's hand rubbing my thigh. It gave me goosebumps but in a good way.
"So that's a yes?" Gray asked
"It's a yes." I reassured
Grayson smiled his big white smile.
"Hey so can I get your number?"
"Yeah I'll think about it." I winked
*Ring*
"See you soon" I got up and left in a hurry. I didn't want to speak to him. He gave me butterflies. I never felt this way after what happened with Landon.
I was excited to go to prom. I was going with Grayson Dolan, every girl's dream. Deep underneath that excitement there was anxiety. There was a very bad feeling about this, but what could possibly go wrong?
*After school*
I was walked to room to the detention room. I'm basically a regular there too. It normally goes like there's no existence of time, so slow. I normally think of things I need to do or draw, but today wasn't going to be a normal day. When I walked in the room there was no sign of Dani. I look in the back corner, where I normally sit, there he is. The new guy.
