Rivalry

Grayson's P.O.V.

Ethan was staring at me the whole time I was driving. He finally broke the award silence by clearing his throat.

"Need a cough drop?" I chuckled

"Grayson..." He started to smirk

"Ethan..."

"Grayson..."

"What Ethan?"

"You got her dude!"

"Ugh...Only if that guy will stay way..." I mumbled

"I think we can make that happen." He gave me a slick smile "Prom is Saturday you know?"

"I can't wait!"

Valerie's P.O.V.

'Landon was back'

"Hey Rose, how are we gonna catch up?" Landon winked as he grabbed my hand. "I missed you babe."

"Landon I don't think this is a good idea"

"Come on babe. Don't worry everything will be fine. Just go with the flow."

He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer as he flipped my hair to the side, and slowly kissed my neck. He picked me up as he pushed me against the wall. His hands graced up my shirt to my stomach.

He whispered the savory words I craved for years when his presence was gone, "I love you Valerie"

His strong arms picked me up and put me over his shoulder. Landon walked up stairs to my room without putting me down. He carefully placed me in the middle of my bed and held himself over me.

"Oh, did I miss this." he chuckled

He pulled off his shirt and started to race his hands up my stomach where he rested them in my chest. He started kissing my neck again with soft pecks.

"Landon I don't think this is a good idea" I moan

"Shhh...Just go with it baby."

"No Landon this isn't right."

"Come on baby. Don't you miss this?" he pulled up my shirt and pulled off my pants, leaving me in my underwear and bra. His head went down to the bottom of my stomach and slowly kissed upwards till he reached my lips. Little moans, full of excitement escaped my mouth. He quickly pulled his pants down leaving him in his boxers.

"Landon I'm still not sure" I whined

"Valerie have I ever let you down?"

"No"

"Exactly, now let me work please"

"But I'm not sure"

"Not sure of what?" he was getting annoyed

"I'm not sure if I want you..." I trailed off

"What?!" his eyes widened in surprise and confusion

"I'm going to prom with Grayson"

I grabbed my clothes and put them back on.

"Landon you should go" I opened my bedroom door.

As he put on his shirt he said with his face covered in a disappointed look, "I'm sorry"

I walked him out the front door. He stopped me and asked "Valerie? Are we over?"

"Landon I really don't know. You did leave for 2 years. Did you really expect me to stay in a relationship with you and not know if you would return? I love you Landon. I really do, but I don't know what I want at the moment."

"Valerie I'm sorry. I didn't want to leave but my dad made me. I came back though and I'm staying. I promise."

"That still doesn't mean I made up my mind. You have to prove how committed you are. We're starting over."

"Bye Valerie"

He walked away with his head down. He was disappointed but I didn't want him to have his hopes up. Plus I was going to prom with Grayson and I'm starting to develop feelings for him. This is going to be hard choice.

'Who am I gonna choose?'

This was really stressful and I needed to vent. Without a hesitant I call Dani.

*Ring....Ring...Ring...*

Dani: "What's up El Diablo? (The Devil)"

Me: "¡Cállate! (Shut up!), Uh do you want to come over?"

Dani: "I don't know if I can. I'm suppose to go to the movies with Aaron."

Me: "I'll buy Rainbow Bagels!"

Dani: "I'll be there in 5."

*Click!*

'And that's how you catch a Dani'

I ran inside so I can setup the house before she came.

*5 minutes later*

"VALERIE!"

The scream of my name startled me.

"YOU BETTER HAVE MY RAINBOW BAGELS!" She yelled as she ran into the kitchen.

"Dani. I need to talk." I stopped her

"Oh this is serious. What is it?"

"Landon is back" I mumbled

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah he's back..."

"Uh no no no honey! You better not give into him. Grayson wouldn't hurt you like how Landon did."

"I know but, it's just so sudden. Like why would he pop up out of nowhere? And Grayson he made me feel something I haven't felt since Landon broke my heart."

"Welp there's your answer." She said while she stuffed her face with Rainbow Bagels.

"Prom is in two days. You better be prepared and work your curves. Drive them crazy" She laughed with little pieces of bagel flying out her mouth.

"Stop being gross!" I yelled

We watched a couple movies and talked about Aaron for a few hours before she left. Tomorrow is Friday so she couldn't stay out late. After she left I deiced to take a shower and go to bed. I was sleeping fine till I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Grayson.

Grayson: Goodnight, I can't wait for prom. I'm so glad that you said yes. I promise I won't let you down. Xoxo
