Kianna and Joey both looked up as the phone started ringing. They exchanged a look and Joey rose to his feet to answer it.
"Excuse me a moment, Kaiba," Joey excused himself. He grabbed the wireless phone and went into another room. Kianna took his place.
"I still haven't properly thanked you for rescuing me back there," she muttered, looking at the wall, "So... Um... Thanks."
"Don't mention it," he stated.
"Oh... Alri-" she began.
"Ever," he interrupted, making her fall silent. They sat for a moment before she tried again.
"So... You have a big company, yes?" she clarified, "I hear you have plans to open KaibaLands all across the glove, soon."
"That's the plan," he nodded, bluntly.
"And you'll be holding tournaments there, right?" she pressed, "I mean... It just makes sense to-"
"You talk to much," Seto stated, raising to go, "I'm mostly done talking to Wheeler. Tell him that he's only invited if he can get Yugi to go as well. Good day, Kianna."
"Oh! Wait!" she quickly followed after him, grabbing his arm as he reached the door.
"What?" Seto demanded, turning slightly, so he could see her out of the corner of his eye.
"I... Well... Uh... Th-that duel!" she remembered, "When do you-!!" He leaned down and kissed her, dextrously moving in and closing the space between them. She melted into the kiss, rather quickly, and kissed him back. When Seto pulled away, his eyes were wide, like he couldn't believe what he'd just done, and he was long gone before Kianna could get a word in edgewise.
"Where'd 'Stick-up-his-butt' go?" Joey showed up behind her.
"He... Um... Had to go," Kianna mumbled, "And be nice to him! He never did anything to you."
"Ha!" Joey laughed, "Kia... You have no idea. The very sight of me makes him sick."
"Oh," she whispered, "Okay, then."
