ACT IV
SCENE 1
At RISE
(Father Lawrence and Paris converse inside a church one Friday afternoon.)
FATHER LAWRENCE
Oh Sunday, sir? That's very soon.
PARIS
That's how my future father-in-law, Mr. Capulet wants.
FATHER LAWRENCE
Is it okay for Juliet?
PARIS
She's grieving too much over the death of Tybalt. And this marriage is the only way for her to be happy again.
FRIAR LAWRENCE
(Father Lawrence speaks to himself softly.)
I wish I didn't know the reason why the marriage should be slowed down.
JULIET
(Juliet enters the church.)
FRIAR LAWRENCE
Oh! There comes your bride.
PARIS
(Paris embraces Juliet.)
I'm happy to meet you, my lady and my future wife.
(Paris bows down and kisses Juliet's hand but Juliet resists.)
