ACT V
SCENE 1
At RISE
(Romeo enters a shop where a SHOPKEEPER is arranges her items. He uses a door from the right side of the shop and opposite where the Shopkeeper's table is located.)
SHOPKEEPER
Who's calling so loudly?!
ROMEO
(Romeo goes to Shopkeeper.)
Good day ma'am. Let me have a shot of poison.
SHOPKEEPER
To whom will you use it?
ROMEO
(Romeo answers in a hopeless manner.)
I want to die. My love died, and I want to follow her.
SHOPKEEPER
You, young kid, look at me, my husband died 10 years ago, but that didn't become a reason for me to end my life. So, don't end yours, you're so young to die just for that kind of reason.
ROMEO
(Romeo gets insulted and shouts at the Shopkeeper.)
Just give me the poison! So, I can leave you here.
Why do all people compare their lives with mine? Can't they understand that what they feel is different from what I'm experiencing right now?
SHOPKEEPER
(Shopkeeper finds a poison in her table and gives it to Romeo.)
Are you sure? Remember, those who rush will stumble and fall. Maybe you just predicted wrong.
ROMEO
(Romeo slams the door and leaves the Shop without giving an answer to Shopkeeper's question. The curtains close and lights off.)
ACT V
SCENE 2
At RISE
(Angelene enters. This time, she holds a phone and a pot and reads a poem.)
ANGELENE
If I may trust the flattering truth of sleep,
My dreams presage some joyful news at thoughts.
And all this day an unaccustomed spirit
Lifts me above the ground with cheerful oughts.
I dreamt my lady came and found me dead
Strange dream, that gives a dead man leave to think
How sweet is love itself possessed
When but love's shadows are so rich in joy.
(Angelene exits and the curtains and lights open.)
ACT V
