The next week, it was Romulus's birthday. After school, Thea had an idea.

"Let's surprise him!"

I clapped sarcastically. "Brilliant."

Suddenly, the voices pierced through my head again.

"C'mon!"

"Where are we going?"

"To London."

"Why?"

"To over throw the Ministry of course!"

I got up and started following the voices. Thea and Alex followed me. "Uh, Kat?"

"Hush! Not now!"

Thea and Alex looked doubtfully at each other but they let me go. I raced down the hallways until I came to the courtyard. Two people were standing by a thicket of trees. I tried to creep up behind them, but I stepped on a wet stone and slipped. I fell on the ground and even though I didn't scream, the people heard me. They ran back inside.

"Need help?" A male voice asked.

I stood up with difficulty and looked the boy straight in the eye. I was surprised to see it wasn't Romulus. "Do I look like I need your help?"

The boy smirked. "A few seconds ago you did."

I brushed myself off and tried to walk, grimacing with every step. I almost slipped again, but the boy caught my arm. "Watch it."

I yanked my arm away from the boy. "I'm fine, now please go back to your Gryffindor friends."

The boy's smirk spread into a smile. "How'd you know I'm a Gryffindor?"

I pointed at him. "You're still wearing a uniform."

"Oh," he looked down at himself. "Yeah, well, see you around," he paused, "Ravenclaw."

As I limped away, I thought, Yeah, not likely. I was halfway inside when the boy called out to me again. "No seriously, what's your name?"

"Katherine," I said coldly.

"Katherine," the boy repeated. "I'm Fred, Fred Weasley Jr."

I looked at Fred more closely. "I can tell."

"Really?"

I nodded. "Oh yes. Red hair, freckles," I tugged on his robes. "The only thing that's missing are the hand-me-down robes."

Fred laughed. "Are you a Malfoy?"

I smiled. "Nope."

"You sound like one."

A blonde haired boy and girl entered the courtyard. Romulus trailed not far behind them. Fred nodded in the direction of the blonde boy. "Speaking of which. Hey, Scorpius!"

The blonde boy smiled and came over to where Fred and I stood. "Hey Fred! Are you coming to your brother's surprise party?" He glanced at Romulus.

"I didn't know Romulus had a brother," I said. "I didn't even know he was a Weasley." It was true. He never told me his last name. He didn't even look like a Weasley. I looked at Fred and Scorpius. Fred was glaring at Scorpius. Scorpius shrugged and started walking away. It's almost like Romulus being a Weasley was a... secret...

Later, at Romuls's party, I was hiding behind a desk when I heard the voices again. This time they were more distant and terrified. I pushed the voices farther out of my head but they were still there, whispering in the corner of my mind.

Suddenly, the door opened and Romulus entered. Everyone jumped out and yelled "Surprise!!!" Everyone except for me. Alex made eye-contact with me and tilted her head towards Romulus. As I stood up, I knocked over a bunch of books off of his desk. They spilled on the floor.

I leaned over to pick them up. I felt everyone's gaze boring into the back of my neck. Romulus rushed over to help me.

"I am so sorry," I muttered.

Romulus smiled and shook his head. "No need to appologize." He moved closer to me until we were brushing shoulders as we picked up the books. I felt my heart fluttering in my chest. Stop it, I told myself. But that didn't stop me from biting my lip when he took my hand after we finished picking up the books.

"C'mon, let's see what's going on."

When we got out of his room, my jaw dropped. The whole common room had disco lights, streamers, food, and a stereo was blasting music.

Romulus whooped. "Now this, is what I call a party!"

I frowned. "Someone might come and give us all detentions."

Romulus looked at me with utter disappointment. "Come on Katherine, you gotta live a little."

I raised my eyebrow and crossed my arms. Romulus pulled on my arm. I finally gave in and followed him. After a few hours, I finally went and started up the steps to my dorm when Headmistress McGonagall burst into the common room. The music stopped and everyone turned to look at her.

A/N: If you haven't figured this out yet, this story is set AFTER the Battle of Hogwarts. Just wanted to clear that up :)

My heart started beating ten times harder and I couldn't help thinking, We are soo dead.

McGonagall smoothed out her clothes and looked at all of us. "Well, this... party is unacceptable, but there are other more pressing matters in this world," she looked at us sternly. "So consider yourselves lucky." McGonagall sighed. "Someone tried to overthrow the Ministry of Magic."
