It was a nice evening, the sun slowly sinking behind the horizon, embracing the night with a red hug, tired from the day, but still leaving warmth behind.
The birds sang their good-night songs, the sound flying through the air which smelled like grass and sweet flowers and the dust on the streets, it smelled like summer.

Mark stood behind his window, looking outside, his eyes wandering over the streets and houses, each with people inside, people with their own worries and problems but also with their own friends and family, helping them trough every obstacle.
Suddenly he felt at peace, like he knew everything is going to be alright anyways, like he knew someone was there, watching over him.
The last beams of sunlight caressed his cheeks lovingly, reminding him of his long-lost love.
And he knew they would meet again, in the next life, and in the life after.
Carefully he closed the window, turning around to look at his friends talking on his couch, laughing and being happy.

Smiling he sat down too and it felt like someone was watching them from above, a loving smile on his lips.
