Five | Red Fancy Envelopes
DRE LIKED XIUMIN, AND XIUMIN LIKED DRE. It's not like they planned on hooking up anytime soon, considering he's been spending a lot of time of Gwen, and they kinda have a thing going on. But they had some weird friendship going on that nobody could explain.
The two were currently bickering about a t.v. show while they played go fish in the living room.
Gwen leaned against the counter, taking a sip of her tea and frowning. "She stole my man."
Olivia rolled her eyes. "Please, it's not like Dre is going to be shacking up with him anytime soon, she just likes his company."
"She has Rowlan." Gwen pouted. "She can spend time with him." Olivia rolled her eyes again.
"Dre, free Xiumin from your dungeons so that Gwen can steal him." Olivia called. Xiumin and Dre looked up from their card game.
"It's not like you can't join us." Dre said. "I figured you would have come over by now and done something about this." Gwen threw her hands up in the air. Xiumin laughed.
"Come here, baby." Gwen smiled, her cheeks turning red. She came around the corner and sat herself down in his lap. Xiumin wrapped an arm around her waist. "Better?"
"Much." Dre laughed.
"So, Xiumin, what exactly do you do?" Dre asked, curiously. She dealt out the cards and placed the rest of the deck in the middle. "Do you work with D.O?"
"Yeah, we both work at the club. I DJ."
"Is that what you wanted to do since you were young?"
"Nah, I wanted to go into engineering. But sometimes we don't get to do what we want, and you just have to go with it."
"Are you happy?" Olivia asked.
"Oh yeah. It's a blast. I get such a rush from doing it. Being up on the stage is so much fun." Xiumin was beginning to get excited.
"Simmer down there." Gwen laughed. Xiumin rested his head against her back.
"Anyways, what about you guys? What do you do or plan on doing?"
"Well, Rowlan's in film school, Olivia here wants to do sound engineering, and I'm studying Art." Gwen explained.
"Are you guys all doing something artistic?"
"No, I'm studying mechanics." Dre replied with a laugh. "My dad had this shop, and he was hoping that me and my brother could run it once he passed or retired. Unfortunately for my dad, my brother decided to study law, which left me to take over the business."
"Shit, really?"
"Yeah. If you still want to go into the engineering field, my dad could probably work something out for you." Xiumin gave her a grin.
"That'd be great. Thank you."
"Ah, don't mention it."
