I literally could not believe my eyes.  Up on stage was Kai. I thought I had lost my mind. As I watched, he scanned the crowd, singing to a song I don't know. Trish saw me staring, and asked me if I was okay.

"Yeah," I say. "It's just kinda funny."

"Why?" she asked, looking at me funny.

"Well, that was the guy who almost ran me over earlier," I say.

"Really?" She asked. "He's cute. You didn't tell me that part."

"Yeah, I guess I forgot to tell you that," I say. "I guess you really can't beat him up now,"

"Darn. You're right," She says smiling. "Let's just enjoy the concert."

"Okay," I say back, and start to dance to the music. About two songs in, we meet a couple cute guys who invited us to a party they were going to after the concert. We decided to go. Hopefully, my mom won't call Trish's. Right now, I'm supposed to be at her house, sleeping over. A few songs later, the guys we met wanted to go get drinks. I told them I wanted to stay. I made my way back to the stage, and when I got there, Kai was at the edge giving high fives to everybody surrounding him. I ran over there and called his name. He looked surprised, and gave me a high five.

When the concert ended, Trish and I tried to find our way to the guys, but ended up getting lost. By that time, she was complaining and tired.

"I told you it was a bad idea to wear those shoes," I said. She was originally going to wear a pair of converse like mine, but saw a pair of cute 6" heels, and settled for those instead.

"That's not the problem." She whined. "I'm hungry, and tired, an-"

"Drunk," I said. When she left with the guys, she drank a bit too much, and came back yelling and dancing like a maniac.

"Yes," She said, but it sounded more like a question than a statement. It would be impossible to get her to walk the whole hour back to our car, and way to crowded to call an Uber. Just when I was about to call her parents, which would result in her getting in major trouble for getting drunk, someone called my name.

I turned around to see Kai wearing the same thing from when he was on stage, a plain black t shirt and faded jeans. He jogged over to us.

"Hey, I didn't know you could sing," I said. Before he could answer, Trish started yelling at him.

"Why would you almost kill my friend?" she yelled. "You could've killed her you douche, go run yourself over you asshole,"

"Shh, Trish, calm down, it's fine," I said, a little startled.

"Okaaay," She said back, drawing out the "a" like a little kid.

"Is she ok?" Kai asked.

"Yeah," I say back. "She just had a lot to drink. Now, she's as stubborn as a little kid so I can't get her to where we parked, and it's way to crowded to call a taxi or something, and I can't call her parents because she'll get in trouble for drinking in the first place," I explain. "So we're kinda stuck here."

"I can give you a ride somewhere," Kai says.

"Can you even get out of here?" I ask.

"Definitely," He says, smiling."I've been getting in and out of here through a back road that nobody knows about, so I can get your friend home and drop you off,"

"That's the problem," I say. "We can't drop her off at her house because she's drunk, And we can't go to my house because my parents are going to kill me when they find out I'm at a concert,"

"You could come to the place I'm staying at. My uncle lives here, but he's on a vacation, so I can bring pretty much anybody over without getting in trouble."

"Are you sure?" I ask. "Do you have the extra room? Trish and I can share a room."

I don't know why, but he laughed at this.

"Yes, I have the extra room." he said. And lead us to his car.
