Chapter 10

Miyoko skipped as the three pairs had been approved by Lord Death to go on the mission. Miyoko hummed and smiled as she stood facing the others with Claude.

"Alright, so the mission is in the north so we might be gone a couple days. Everyone go home and prepare your bags. Meet back here in an hour." Claude stated in a stern tone and Tsubaki and blackstar agreed. Theodore shrugged unamused with Claude taking charge. Isabella on the other hand couldn't help but find the stern Claude more appealing.

The group all disbursed and went home, preparing a few days worth of warm clothing, as well as plenty of snacks. Miyoko was sure to make sure she had a bag of fresh baked cookies.

"Theo better watch himself..." Claude stated as he came out of his room, a bit bitter about the fact Theo and Isabella were even coming. He looked at his meister who had changed into black leggings and a tight pink sweater. She had her hair up in a bun now, smiling at Claude as she handed him a bag of cookies to put in his bag.

"You sound as if he can take me away from you." She froze realizing how that sounded and the two blushed, she looked away unsure of how to respond with her slip up. He chuckled and patted her head, hugging her into his chest.

"I just worry for you Miyoko. You're important, you're all I've got." He buried his face into her shoulder as he hugged her. She nodded smiling, rubbing his back.

"I'm a big girl Claude. I think I can handle Theo and his ego." She giggled trying to put his mind to rest.

"He hurt you once Miyoko, I don't want him to do it again." He stated looking into her eyes. She felt frozen in her spot, Claude speaking to her like this made her body feel warm, the touch from his arms wrapped around her made her skin feel warm to the touch. "I know he will always have some sort of effect on you. But I can't allow him to hurt you again." Claude spoke and his words felt honest yet broken. The look he gave his meister was one of care and worry.

Miyoko smiled and nodded hugging him back "I  don't think you need to worry about that Claude. I'll be careful though..." she hugged him tightly and bit her lip "...Thank you".

The two stood and Claude felt a little bashful for the way he acted, but he felt it needed to be said to her. Miyoko goofed off with him a little and made him chuckle. She smiled seeing his smile and she flung her bag over her shoulders which had a puffy pink jacket on also.

The two headed off to the school just in time to meet up with Theo and his hot headed partner, whom was scolding him as always. He was ignoring her, mostly listening to the music playing from the earplug in his ear. He looked around to see Miyoko and Claude and he sat up smiling at his Cherry Blossom. Isabella smiled and greeted Claude, ignoring Miyoko's existence. She sighed and rolled her eyes looking at Theo.

"So is she gonna act like I don't exsist the whole time?" She questioned Theo as Isabella distracted Claude momentarily.

"Most likely..." he stated and eyed her up and down as she sighed in relief. He continued, stepping closer to her. "I can show you the attention if you want Cherry Blossom." Miyoko blushed, stepping back she shook her head looking up at him. As she was about to speak there was a loud shout.

"YAAA-HOOOO!!!!" Blackstar was heard from a far as he and Tsubaki quickly hurried to the meeting spot. He stood with his chest out and proud. "Hey guys! Ready to fight with a big man like me?"

"Big man? Trying to over compensate something?" Isabella snickered as she spoke and blackstar glared at her. Miyoko clapped her hands and smiled trying to break the tension.

"Alrighty! I'm so excited we all get to go on a mission together!" She giggled and looked at the others she was with "oh!" She seemed to remember something then went into a paper bag she was previously carrying. She handed a small bag of cookies to everyone with a smile "they are white chocolate marshmallow. I hope you guys like them." Blackstar and Tsubaki smiled, she bowed her head and thanked the pink haired girl happily. Blackstar agreeing. Theo smiled and thanked Miyoko with his usual handsome yet devious smile. Isabella simply dropped the cookies as Miyoko handed them to her, rolling her eyes and started walking away.

Miyoko sighed and as she went on one knee to pick up the broken cookies Theo sighed and rolled his eyes at his weapon. He got down and  helped Miyoko pick them up and put them into the bag again.

"Sorry about her." Theo spoke and Miyoko nodded and shrugged. Claude was watching Theo's movements very carefully, his guard never being able to be down around the black haired meister.

"I mean it's better then her trying to fight me at every instant." She giggled and Theo couldn't help but smile at that, chuckling at her remark. She stood up and put the cookies away turning towards everyone "let's get going guys."

They all started making their ways towards the train station. As they all boarded spirit was their to brief them on their mission.

"Okay kids, listen up!" He cleared his throat before starting to talk again. "It's been said by other groups who have tried this that their teammates turned on them, while facing these Kishinev. So everyone be careful. Prevent from making eye contact with this Kishin."

The partners were all settled in their chairs, doing their own things. Theo was listening to his music and ignoring Isabella as she was mumbling under her breath about how the seating arrangements are idiotic. Blackstar was going off to Tsubaki about how he was gonna beat the kishins into the dirt like the big man he is. Miyoko seemed very excited, jumping in her seat with excitement. Claude couldn't help but smile at it. He knew exactly what was running through her mind.

"Four more Kishins..." he spoke lowly looking out the window, a light nibble to his bottom lip and he smiled.
