Today is the first day of sophomore year. I'm trying to find something to wear. I think I'm going to go with this.

I'm the shadow of the school. Everyone knows what my name is, but everyone calls me shadow. I don't mind cause that's what I am. I remember the day that my nickname was picked. It was last year when I was avoiding everyone I met, I sat at the back of the room in the corner. The person who came up with my nickname is the bad boy Ryan Mazza. He always tries to get me to talk to him, it's like he's attached to me somehow. I grab a pop tart and an apple on the way out the door, my foster parents are never home in the morning but their always home to take me to therapy after school. 5 minutes later I'm at school. I notice I get a few looks but those came from new kids. I have a few minutes so I decided to go put things in my locker. I put in my locker combination and put in the books I don't need. Just as I put my last book in my locker gets slammed shut by none other than Ryan Mazza. "Sup girl" he said I just look at him like 'what do you want?' "Let me see your schedule." He says Eh what the heck why not. I hand him my schedule. He looks at the paper then at me and smirks. "Looks like we have all classes together." Ugh whyyyyyy. I snatch my schedule and walk away while saying "lucky me" "Oh she talks!" He replies I decide to go to class even though there's like 10 minutes until it actually starts. A few kids were already in the class. They were talking bout some kid named Ethan Robinson. Wait that's my last name... oh shoot. Please don't tell me he's going to this school. I decide to listen some more. Yep he's going to this school. Ethan is my brother. I haven't heard or seen him for 4 years which is when I was 14. I knew he was in a gang but I never knew where he went. While I was walking to my usual spot I hear some kids saying that the gang immortals are comin to this school. Great more people to deal with. I decide to just read while waiting for the class to start. Everyone usually sits at the front of the class and I sit alone in the back. There's about 5 minutes until the class starts so now I'm just looking around at everyone. A group of boys walk in and walk directly to the back of the room where I am. The last boy to walk in was Ethan. I wonder if he even remembers me. He looks around the room and then his eyes land on me. He walks back towards me, all the other boys are just watching him. He takes a seat right next to me. "Hey Ravana." He says "He remembers!" I mumble "Hey Ethan." I say "So who are your friends?" I ask looking at the rest of the boys "So Andrew is the blond one, the two black haired ones are twins and their names are Jacob and Joshua." He said Huh guess not all his gang memes are at this school. "Cool" I say I think I like Andrew the best he looks the nicest "Ok class listen up." The teacher said "My name is Mr. Herman. And I will be your science teacher."
3 hours later
Yay it's time for lunch. I looked at Ethan's schedule and we have all classes together. I go to my locker and put in my books and grab the ones I need for the rest of the day. "Hey." Ethan says "Hey." I reply "Cmon let's go to lunch." He says slinging his arm on my shoulder. "Ok." I reply It took us 5 minutes to get to the cafeteria just because of how big this school is. Me and Ethan go into the lunch line. I get some stares, mostly glares from the popular girls. Ew, they think that I'm dating this fool. I go and sit at my usual table at the back of the cafeteria. Ethan and his buddies come over and sit across me. I glance up at the clock a few times. "Hey Ravana?" Joshua asks "Yeah?" I reply "Why do you keep glancing at the clock?" He asks "Oh just because-" before I could even finish Ryan and the jocks walk over and sit next to me. "Aww look guys shadow found friends." Ryan says "Shadow?" Ethan asks "It's a nickname I was given by this buffoon." I say pointing to Ryan "Shadow want to introduce us to your friends?" Jack, one of the jocks ask I roll my eyes. "Well the brown haired one is my brother, Ethan, the two black haired ones are Joshua and Jacob, they're twins, and the blonde one is Andrew." I say "And guys the red head is Ryan, the dirty brown haired one is Jackson, and the white haired one is Anthony." I say They mumble a hello or a hi. Boys. "Well I'm going to the next class." I say walking away Before I can't hear them anymore I hear Ethan say "stay away from my sister." Haha overprotective much
