I'm gonna try to stop dragging this out with fluff and hit important points. This is 33 chapters in and everything is basically still a secret or confusing.

Also, for some reason my last update(Chap.32 Only For You) was showing up before the thing titled "Next Update" but I fixed it so make sure you've read that before you read this.
So last chapter, Jacob got a phone call. He said it was his mom. He lied.
*Rewinds scene*& Action!

Okay, storytime...

-

Jacob closed the door to the bedroom, answering the call.
"You're running out of time."

At that, his heart skipped a beat. "But I-"

"No, Jacob. You were given this opportunity to make a difference in his life..to make him see differently. I don't see that much progress."

"But he's changing , I can feel it. I mean, I honestly don't know what exactly I'm supposed to help him change from but before he was more withdrawn and now he's not as much. Maybe he'll open up now?" He stated , hope lilting his voice.

There was a brief note of silence.
"I'm just letting you know..if you want to change his point of view. Dig deeper and do it quicker. The clock is ticking." The voice sighed, regretfully.

"How can I help if I don't know what's wrong? Tell me, what has Chres done wrong? Dylan won't tell me and I don't know if Chres will himself," he begged.

The voice sighed, once again "And as Dylan said, that's his story to tell. Chresanto has to come to terms with himself and you're here to guide him."

It was Jacob's turn to sigh.

"And Jacob?"

"Yeah?" He spoke, voice almost hopeless.

"You don't always need to know someone's problem in order to be of their aid. We hope for you the best. We all belive in you." With that, the line was disconnected.

Jacob thought about what they said.
I may not need to know his problem, but I want to.

He thought. He sighed and headed out of the room , rounding the corner only to see part of Chresanto's problem. One that was much too obvious. Desiree.

Jacob was finally home. He spared few words to his mom on the way home, but now was the time.

"Guardian says my time is ticking." He said casually, cuddling up on the couch with a blanket.

His mom dropped her keys. "What? No, I can't lose my baby. No, not yet . I need more time! What?" She collapsed in her chair, hands pressed to her face to conceal the falling tears.

Jacob frowned, saddened by the fact. "Mom ..please , stop. Don't be sad. It makes this harder. .Mom, come here." He patted the seat beside him.

She audibly sucked up her tears, wiping her face. She dragged herself over and cuddled up with her only child. "Mom, this isn't about me. Not really, anyway. We made an agreement with guardian and guardian made an agreement with him." Jacob made his point by pointing his eyes up, slightly titling his head as well.

His mother nodded, frowning at the facts. "I know, I just don't want to not be able to be with you again. Well, a conscious you." She teared up again, thinking about it.

He squeezed his mom, hoping all his love was conveyed. "Don't worry, mami. It's okay." He muttered, chin resting on her head in comfort, while he gave her a moment to let out her feelings. He didnt want her to be left alone again either. But he was sent here for a reason and he didn't want to fail.
