I board the train super excited. Today was my 16th birthday and I was pumped up. Every year on my birthday my dad, my two brothers, and I all watch The Wizard Of Oz.
My mom goes over to my cousins house and gets super wasted. Like wasted that she can't even breath without thinking about it. Yeah my mom drinks nothing new.
Anyway we where watching the movie and we got to the part when she throws the water on the wicked witch when my mom comes home a screaming drunk. Like screaming like a goat.
"Where is the birthday girl?! I have a horrible present for her!"
She laughs as she stumbles in the room. She sees the 4 of us all cuddled up on the couch and stares for a second. She then turns around and goes into the kitchen. My dad looks at me sadly, but I look at him and smile and turn the tv off. That's when my mom came back Into the room. With a knife. In. Her. Hand.
"Happy birthday girl. May you rot in hell. "
I give her a look before she lunges for my dad and stabs him right in neck causing him to die right then and there. I scream and my brothers push me out the way.
"Pack your things and run Snowy. We love you."
My mom laugh as she then jumped on them. I run up stairs and pack my duffle bag. I hear her coming up the stairs.
"Come out of hiding Snowflake. Your dear brothers are died. Why don't you join them?" She laughs as she throws open my door.
I grab my wallet and jump out my window. I have a tree next to my window, so I grab a branch and swing to the ground like Tarzan.
I hear her screaming for me to come back. She wants to finish giving me my gift of death. I continue running not knowing where to go. One thing was for sure. I was getting out of Florida and never coming back. That's when I had a idea.
Go to New York and live on the streets. Florida was not meant for homeless kids like me. So I made my way towards New York. And i live in Orlando so I knew it was a hike.
