Lunchtime had been great. As promised, he had taken her to an Italian restaurant, that served the nicest pasta she had ever eaten. Unfortunately, he had still work to do and had to leave immediately after the dessert. Blair was not so pleased with that, but he had only one more meeting scheduled in the afternoon. He had to work until 3 p.m., so that gave her another hour of spare time to do something. He had brought her the Palace after their romantic meet-up before driving to the meeting. After a goodbye-kiss, she went to her bathroom to freshen up, wanting to look as pretty as she possible could, for him. She was looking in the mirror at herself, recalling dark thoughts she had been having since she was a child. You are too fat. You are never going to be pretty if you eat that. Throw it up. Her mother had always pushed her to lose as much weight as possible and it still haunted her sometimes. In the corner of her eye, she saw the porcelain bowl standing.

Would she... No, she thought to herself. She had come so far now, trying to overcome her bulimia. Still, she always felt like not beautiful enough. Not good enough. When she had started things with Chuck, things didn't become better. Everytime he looked at her body, a little voice in her head said that she had to loose weight, in order to be still loved by him. One time, she had burst out of tears while she was with him. He had told her afterwards that he didn't care about how much she weighted and how she looked, because he would always find her the most beautiful woman in the world. She had been flattered by that, but she was still insecure about it. She stepped out of the bathroom and closed the door behind her. She was enough.

Blair was sitting on her bed, reading a book she got for Christmas. After she had done that, she had picked out an outfit for the night. Tonight was New Years Eve after all. There was a big party planned with all the biggest it-girls and most important socialites. Ofcourse Blair Waldorf had to attend it, but she didn't know if she was sure she wanted to go. A romantic stay-in night with Chuck sounded way better than talking to people about her dress or her mother's new clothes. Blair didn't care about what people would think if she would enter with Chuck. She guessed that everyone knew now  about them. Gossip Girl had sent out numerous blasts about them but for once she didn't really care. She looked at her phone and saw a few texts from Serena. Nate had told her about the engagement and she was so happy for her BFF too. Before Blair could reply she heard the familiar clicking of Serena's heels on the marble floor.

"Oh my God, B! I'm so happy for you!". Serena hugged her tightly and Blair smiled into her shoulder. She lifted up her hand, just as she had done that morning when she was with Nate. "God, it's so beautiful! Wow B! I can't even.. just wow!" Serena was so delighted for her bestie. They continued to chat about how he set everything up and how Chuck had explained everything to Serena. "You know, at first, I was really doubtful of his intentions.. I know he hurt you so many times and I was afraid if you would go back into a relationship with him, the same things would happen. But then he explained to me how much you meant to him and yeah..." Blair smiled again at Serena. "I know, but he's the one S. And we are inevitable, just like you said, remember?" After Blair had told Serena so many years ago about their first hook-up in the limo after she had danced at Victrola, Serena had said that no matter how much they tried to push each other away, they were still inevitable. Blair had been so pissed at her for that, because back then, she thought she made the biggest mistake of her life by having sex with C. "Maybe not all things you say are stupid". Serena rolled her eyes at her. "You better have me as your first bridemaid when you become Blair Waldorf-Bass". Blair grinned and told her she wouldn't have it any other way. Ofcourse S would be the first birdemaid. Thinking about her wedding made her feel so delighted and fulfilled. Just the fact that she was going to be one day a Bass, made her drool over with happiness. "Speaking of your fiancée, where is he?". Blair looked at her Cartier watch and replied: "He has just finished his final meeting for the day". S walked to the mirror and adjusted her hair. "So, what are you going wear tonight to the NYE party?" Blair sighed and showed her the outfit.
