Sometimes a miracle can be so little. So small and so irregular. Sometimes unexpected but always welcomed. So life-changing. Blair had always believed miracles were made-up things by hopeful people that were expecting change. Miracles only existed in perfect worlds, in books and movies. Still, the second she heard him say her name, she knew that she had been thinking so wrong. Maybe she had experieced so many miracles in her life, maybe she just never saw them or thought about them. She knew that she needed to enjoy every little single thing in her life. A sunshine, a good grade, a hug from Serena, her dad coming home from Paris with Roman,.. All of those things were little miracles.

"Blair, look at me". Now she knew she hadn't heard wrong. There was no possible way he could have survived. There was no possible way he could have woken up. Why was everyone here? People only showed up if something bad had happened right? Slowely, she slightly turned her head to the source of the beautiful sound of him saying her name. She was so scared that she was going mad, hearing his voice. For a second she actually thought she had died too and that Chucl and she were in heaven. She had never been really a catholic person, nor was her mother. If heaven existed, hell existed too. She desperately hoped it didn't.

In the hospital bed, about 10 feet from her, he beautiful brown eyes of the young man she hadn't seen in months were staring into hers. He was looking at her. Their eyes were locked into one another. It seemed like hours passed by in that one second she looked at him. He was alive, he was fine! He didn't die! A voice in her head was screaming the same things all over again. Too shocked to say anything, her mouth fell open. The whole room was waiting for her reaction. It was only when Chuck gave her a little smile, reality really fell down on her. In those 5 seconds all of that happened, it seemed like a massive weight had been changed into glue that put the broken pieces of her heart back together. Suddenly, all she wanted to do was to jump into his arms. She couldn't get fast enough out of the bed. She didn't know she was attached to a baxter, but she didn't even care. She just pulled the needle out of her arm, not even caring about the pain it caused. She heard some people protesting but she couldn't care less. Tears were flowing on her cheeks. When she finally reached his bed, she just broke down on the floor. Not this time because of hurt but because of happiness. Serena rushed to her and helped her up. Blair's trembeling hand touched her lovers cheek and she felt that his cheeks were wet too. "Y.. You survived". Chuck smiled brightly and touched her hand. He brought it to his lips and placed a soft kiss onto it.

She lowered her head to his and placed her forehead against his forehead. Her hands were touching his arms and his neck, anywhere where she could feel his warmth. She had missed it so much. "Are you okay?" Blair answered his question with a kiss on his lips. "I am now".

Turned out that Chuck had woken up by the defibirillator the doctors had used to make his heart beat again. Serena had told him everything about what had happened. Blair couldn't help but feel a little jealous of S. She had wished that the first thing Chuck saw again, was her face. Chuck had fallen asleep and even she was a little dissapointed with that, she knew he needed it, even after been 'asleep' for almost 2 months. She had asked the doctor if she could lay next to him, but not before thanking him. Doctor McCallister had been so nice to her and he had saved Chuck's life. The doctor knew it wasn't really responsible of him to say 'yes', but he couldn't help it.

After talking to everyone (yes, also to Brooklyn boy) in the room and smiling happily and feeling better than ever before, she had laid down in his hospital next to him. His face looked so peaceful. She traced the scar on his forehead and placed a kiss on it. She buried her head in his neck and just before she felt asleep she heard him say: "I love you". She looked up at him, only to see him looking at her. She wanted to say it back but he cutted her off with wrapping his arms around her small fragile body. "Blair". He suddenly looked serious and worried: "Have you been eaten full meals?". She looked down and that said enough for him. "I'm sorry. I thought I was going to lose you and.. everything fell apart". He smiled and lifted her chin up. "Don't be sorry. I wouldn't know what to do if the same happened to you". She suddenly started crying again. "Hey, hey. It's okay right? I'm here and we're going to be okay. I'm not leaving you again. Never, I promise". She wiped her tears away and kissed him like it was the last time she would ever. When she started to kiss his neck he said: "Look princess, you have no idea how much I missed you and our mind-blowing love-making, but I don't think we're right now in the right place to do it". Blair giggled and agreed. In silence, they laid together in a comfortable position.
