paul the sleazy pub jean and i entered reeked of smoke, alcohol, and body odor, though by now, i was used to it. it was our "date night," though neither of us wanted to go out somewhere fancy, so we decided on the pub we go to on nights like this. we took a seat at the nearly empty bar and ordered our usual. after while, the once empty bar began to fill up.
jean and i sat in silence for most of the time being. we'd been distant lately, as the thought of our "love" dissipating crossed both of our minds. things were like this for quite some time, so we found ourselves going out more often - whether it be to try to reconnect with each other, or to find somebody new.
about 15 minutes later, the empty seat next to me was taken by a rather tall, blonde longhaired lady. she seemed about my age and was stunning. she had kind, baby blue eyes, and smelt faintly of some flowery perfume. by this point, jean was more than tipsy, and was on the dance floor with some other man. i was unfazed by her actions and just went back to my drink. it seemed as though this girl was in the same situation as me, her lover wandering off somewhere as well, leaving her alone, i thought.
violet as soon as roger and i entered the pub, he ordered himself some drinks and made his way onto the dance floor, leaving me at the bar. i didn't care however. he'd been doing this often, so i was no longer bothered. i ordered a drink and took a seat next to this man, who was also sitting alone. he looked to be in his early 20's, and had a baby-face that could make any girl swoon. his hair was in a mop top, and had the sweetest doe eyes i'd ever seen.
after bit, and a couple drinks, the man turned toward me. "wanna ditch this place?" the baby-faced man next to me asked. though i thought of that as unusual, as i hadn't even said a word to him, i wasn't doing anything at this point, so i gave in. "yeah, why not," i replied without hesitation.
update: id published this last year lol yikes,, but i edited some this this and am going to continue the story !! ♡
