Alex knew that his daughter could be a handful sometimes, but he didn't think his ex-wife sending her to live with him was a good idea. Ruby was a very mature young lady, but her mind wandered, and she's always been daddy's little girl.

That might have been the problem all along, he often thought to himself in the dark, late at night.

Little did he know of the other things his baby girl did when she wasn't in school. Ruby Devereaux had an easy time fooling her teachers and pulling the wool over her mother's eyes. Alex knew to be watchful over his eldest daughter.

In a way for Ruby to become a better person, Dani, her younger sister was moving in with them.

Alex had enough room in his two-storey house on the Southside of Riverdale for the two young women, but he still worried about their well being here.

For starters, this town had its own secrets and mysterious dark corners. Hell, Alex himself was involved with the Southside Serpents. He just hoped to hell his daughters would distance themselves from his work, and they would just be two little angels like they were when they were kids.

Alas, he knew that could not be the way, and he hoped that his ex-wife sending him his daughters would prove to be a blessing in the end.

Alex entered the Whyte Wyrm. He was greeted by several men, and he realized that he could easily lose his daughter to any of them. God forbid she tries to hook up with an older man here.

He sits at the bar and sweatily orders a drink. Suddenly, there is a change in the air, and FP Jones walks in. The leader of this gang. The one person he truly did not want Ruby to meet.

'What's the matter, Alex? Snake got your tongue?' FP joked, but Alex knew there was a serious problem once his daughter came to town.

'My two daughters are moving in with me...'

'So? That sounds great! Now, you can live the life that most of us dream about!' FP was a little insulted that Alex was nervous about the family moving in.

'Well, the problem is my eldest daughter. She's a bit of a handful,' Alex was uncertain that his ex-wife's decision was the best.

'What's wrong with that pussycat? She into drugs or what?' FP was confused by Alex's comments.

'You better watch out around my daughter, FP. Her mother sent her here because she can't graduate with all these older men distracting her...' Alex winked at his fellow Serpent.

'What do you mean? Your little girl, has she got a daddy fetish?' FP chuckled at his own joke.

'That's exactly it. And if you're not careful, you'll be next.' Alex hated his daughter's afflictions but hoped that wholesome Riverdale would change her.

All he needed to do was set her on the right path, with the right friends.

She could not know about the serpents...especially not FP Jones.

That's about the time that Alex got a call, saying that his two daughters had arrived in town. No one knew they would be arriving at the bar.

The doors flung open, and there stood two young women arguing over something stupid and petty.
The eldest was a redhead, and the youngest was a blonde. There must have been five or six years difference between the two.

'Oh, Ruby! Dani!' Alex shouted, which caused the pair to quit arguing immediately.

They both ran over to hug their father, and Ruby eyed all the men down in the bar.
Alex was already beginning to worry about her.

'Hey, so is this the 'gang' mom told us about?' Ruby was definitely intrigued, Dani was bored.

'Yes, and you two will not be involved with any of this!' Alex's voice boomed at his two girls.

'That's too bad, I think I would have liked it here,' Ruby commented on all the men giving her attention.

And this is exactly why Alex doubted Karen, the girls' mother's decision on this.
How could she think sending them to Riverdale was a good idea?!

He told the Serpents goodbye, and the three of them made their way into Alex's old station wagon. There was no way he'd ever let them ride on his motorbike.

It was a fifteen-minute drive to Alex's old, two-storey house on the cusp of the Northside. He lived right in between the two opposing sides, and very near Pop's diner.

'So, dad, what is there to do around here?' Ruby asked, looking at everything that passed by her window.

'Nothing, because you'll both be attending Riverdale High. I've talked it over with the principal, Ruby, and he doesn't mind taking you and Dani in so late in the year...especially with your track record,' he smirked at his eldest.

'Don't worry, dad. The way this town looks, I'll probably be actually able to graduate.' Ruby seemed sure of herself.

'As if, you couldn't graduate high school even if it was a given for you,' Dani was angry she had to be pulled out of her old school.

Alex couldn't believe how much his daughters had grown, and in the last seven years, he was able to understand two things about them.

1. Ruby was no longer boy crazy. She lusted after older men now.

And

2. Dani was a good student, and she would be a big help in getting Ruby on the right track.
