III. We've Only Just Begun.

Ruby's P.O.V.

The next few days with dad and Dani were a bit uneventful.
We just hung out around the house, but it gave us all a time to connect and become a family again.

My parents had separated when I was around thirteen years old, but they never went through with the divorce until last year. My mother was still in the process of getting her surname changed back to her maiden name.

It was somewhat odd to see my parents trying to get along for my sake, but I wish they knew that there was nothing wrong with me.
Sure, I'm not innocent, and I haven't graduated high school, but I'm not a psychopath.

My father wanted me to join Dani and him in church, but I long lost my faith in God. Why Dani was going was beyond my knowledge. She had no religious beliefs either, which made me question my father even more.

'Why church? You think I'm sinning?' I asked, hoping not to hear some sort of lecture.

'Well, Ruby, I'm trying to figure out where your mother and I went wrong with you,' my father sighed, head in hands.

'Don't, 'cause I'm fine. Besides, dad, I can actually apply for college in this state. There's a number of schools that will take me without my grade twelve,' this was true, but it was a ploy so I wouldn't have to go to high school.

My father contemplated it, and he seemed happy with the news I just broke to him.

'Really? I think that's great! Let's call your mom and see what she thinks!'

An hour later, and I was online searching for the first school that would take me in. I really had no desire to go to high school.
There was no way I wouldn't sniff out trouble there, which would worry my parents even more so.

All of a sudden, my phone buzzed...

Unknown Number(2:34 pm): Hi dollface, I can't stop thinking of you...

XxRubyxX(2:36 pm): Who's this?

I had just moved here, so I was wondering if one of my friends from California was playing a prank on me. They often did that, but I loved them regardless. My friends from California were the only ones who ever really cared for me...

But, that's when I thought of the people I had met here.

There was Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews, there was also Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones, but they were all my sister's age...

I then realize it is FP Jones, who is also Jughead's father. This fact turned me on so much when I had first heard about it.

Jughead was really cute, don't get me wrong, but his dad was a sexy beast. I often dreamt of FP Jones, and the way he was checking me out the other day told me a lot about how he felt about me.

Unknown Number(2:45 pm): Oh, you know who it is, baby girl. It's FP

XxRubyxX(2:46 pm): And what do I owe the pleasure, Mr. Jones?

I knew I still had to be subtle with him, even though the attraction between us had almost been instantaneous, I didn't want my dad to know I was seeing his friend and a fellow serpent.

Unknown Number(2:50 pm): Well, I know that your dad and sister will be heading to see your mother this weekend, how about you come to the Whyte Wyrm this Friday night at 10?

XxRubyxX(2:53 pm): Is this a date, Mr. Jones? Because if it is... you know I will be there.

Unknown Number(2:55 pm): You know what this is, baby girl. Daddy is gonna treat you real good.

I couldn't help but be very aroused at the sort of messages he was sending. I figured he found my number through dad's cell, but seriously? This was getting pretty steamy to me.

'Ruby! Come on down for dinner!' Dani's voice interrupted my thoughts on FP.

I guess I would just have to go to the Whyte Wyrm on Friday and see what kind of treatment I will be getting.
Honestly, I knew what was going to happen, but it's the thrill of the chase.
Older men always love to try to impress and flatter the young girl, which thrills her in ways that no other man could.
This is what started my affliction, and what makes it interesting every time.

'RUBY! DINNER!' This was my dad's voice now, and I rushed downstairs.

I sat at my spot, and dad opened the box of pizza. I was almost too distracted to eat.

'What's gotten you all giddy?' Dani asked, smirking at me.

'Well, I may have found a school to accept me!' I lie expertly, and my father seems satisfied.

My sister knows better, but I think I can keep her quiet......for now.
