"I can't believe you actually convinced me to go to this party," Lily complained as we walked out of the house.

I simply laughed and ignored her whining. Unlocking my car doors Lily quickly asked, "What about Caelin? Who's gonna watch her? She's not old enough to stay at home alone!"

And on cue, her Mom pulled up into the driveway.

"Mom, thank goodness you're here! Dakota is making us-"

"We're going to a party!" Aiden interrupted.

"Ooh a party? Have fun kiddos and be safe!" She smiled and waved us off.

"Seriously?" Lily retorted as she hopped into the passenger seat.

"Sorry Lily, looks like you're going to your first high school party after all," I joked and drove off.

It wasn't long until we saw the overcrowded house with cars and heard the pounding music from it. I parked at the end of the block and soon we were at the party.

The first person to greet as we entered the house was no other than our lovely host, Andy Collins.

"Ahh, Weinfield and Tarn you guys made it! And I see you've brought a friend too, the more the merrier!" He clapped Aiden's back.

"He knows who I am? How? Why? I don't talk to anyone at school except the kids in drama. He must be a stalker," Lily began a nervous rant.

"Lily," I elbowed her. "Chill out, he's the Vice President of our class. Him and Daniel know everybody. Oh, and don't call him a stalker!"

The deeper we got into the house we saw people playing spin the bottle in the living room, teenagers crowding the tables in the kitchen to get food, and the majority of the throng in the backyard dancing to the dj Andy must've hired.

"Quite the party am I right Lily?" I smirked.

"Sure," she folded her arms, being careful not to touch anything.

"Dakota!"

The three of us turned around to see Daniel walking towards us, drink in hand.

"Lily, you're here also?" He asked with a tone of confusion.

She smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck.

"I didn't mean for that to come out offensive! It's just that, I didn't really see you as the partying type of person. Um-"

"Mr. President," I switched the conversation. "I don't believe you've met Aiden here. He graduated last year."

"Oh hi there! I'm Daniel, class president," he beamed.

"So I've heard," He did a sideways glance at me and chuckled. "Nice to meet you," Aiden and him did a little hand shake then he leaned closer to Daniel.

"You know, right now would be the time that I would ask a certain girl to come and dance with me."

"Oh right." He turned towards Lily again, "You wanna dance a bit?"

"Uh, I.... um," she unfolded her arms and brought them to her sides.

"She'd love to!" I pushed them into the direction of the backyard.

As they walked away, Lily quickly turned her head and gave me a warning look.

'You'll be fine' I mouthed to her and shot a thumbs up.

"Did you just willingly let Daniel whisk away your little sister?" I cocked an eyebrow at Aiden.

"Hey in my defense, you were in on it too," he smirked at me.
