Prompt #10~ "You could have died!"

«You have to deal with a new sith apprentice, but Poe is with you.»

General Organa came up behind me while I was training, and I jumped.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." She said with a chuckle.

I turn around with a smile on my face, "It's quite alright, General. Is there something troubling you?" I ask and she nods.

"Well, we have a new lead on this new Sith apprentice. He is on Polis Masa, and has a couple of Senators from Yavin held hostage. And I was wondering-" she began to say,

"I'll go. I will go to Polis Masa and save the Senators of Yavin. Because they are a big help to the Resistance, and we can't afford to lose Yavin." I say, and she smiles.

"You'll need a pilot." I heard a voice say, from behind me, and it belonged to my adorable boyfriend, Poe.

I turn around and smile, "I mean, I guess you can go." General Organa says, "And I'll leave you guys to talk. You will need to leave as soom as possible." She said, and walked out of the training room.

Poe instantly came up to me and kissed my lips, "I'll go with you. I'll protect you, and we'll have some alone time." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Uh, negative on that one. We're dealing with a Sith apprentice, you know how hard, difficult, and dangerous this is going to be. I don't want you to get hurt, love." I say, and he smiles.

"You're my girl. I'm going to protect you no matter what, even if you're stronger than me." He says, and I chuckle,

"Alright, Mr. Dameron. I suppose you can go." I say, and begin to walk out of the training room, with him following close behind me.

He grabs me by my waist and pulls me back, "Looks like you've got yourself a pilot, future Mrs. Dameron." He says, and kisses my lips gently, after having to gasp for air, I pull away.

"We better go. Or we won't make it in time." I say, and rush out of the room, I put on a black long sleeve shirt, with brown colored skinny jeans, with my black boots. I connect my lightsaber to my belt, and head out to the ship hangar.

Poe was standing there next to the ship, and BB-8 was getting settled into his slot.

"Ready to go, sweetheart?" He asked, and I nod.

I motion for him to go up first, and he looks at me, "You go first, dear. Because if you fall, I will catch you." He said with a smirk on his face.

I began to climb the ladder, and I knew exactly why he wanted me to go first. I shake my head, and got into my spot in the X-Wing, and then he got into his, "Alright, BB-8 set the course to Polis Masa." Poe said, and with that we were off.

~On Polis Masa~

We landed in an abandoned hangar, and I could feel the presence, of the 'apprentice with no name'.

"Poe, listen to me. I don't care what happens, if I yell 'go', you go. Get back to the ship, with the Senators, and get out of here. The Resistance has sent another ship here to carry the Senators back to base." I say, "They will need someone to cover them, that's why we brought the X-Wing. Just don't do anything stupid, okay?"

He pulls my face closer to his, "No promises." He said and kissed me gently, "I love you, Y/N."

"I love you, too." I say, and walk into the abandoned base.

"We have to go north to the actual base, the Senators are in the north east corridor. You will go get the Senators, and I will find the apprentice, got it?" I say, and he nods.

"Aye aye Captain." He said and went to the direction I pointed to.

The presence of the apprentice was getting stronger with every step, and I unhooked my lightsaber from my belt.

"Ah, Y/N Y/L/N. Thought I'd never see you again, but here you are. Still not a Master, huh? Maybe if you would have turned, you would be a Master." She said, and continued to do what she does best, insult me and get on my nerves.

" My, oh my, your face is so pale." She said, and I looked at what  use to be my best friend, she had pitch black hair now, and  when you looked into her eyes, you can see all of the pain and suffering she has gone through.

I looked down, and she smirked.
"What happened to your master? Didn't he run away? Oh, and remember your ex that turned to the dark side too?" She said. And began to walk around me, I knew what she was doing. She was trying to get into my head.

"Still sensitive, are we?" She said, and lifted up my chin.

I looked at her, "Me sensitive? Sure, I am sensitive to the fact that you are a complete asshole." I said, and she ignited her lightsaber, but I seen it coming.

They clashed together, making a loud sound.

We began to fight, "I am stronger than you, Y/N. And you know it!" She yelled and I force pushed her against a wall.

"Pride cometh before the fall, Janet." I say and she runs at me, "That's not my name!" She screeches, and hits my lightsaber harder than ever.

She force pushed me into the wall, and began to force choke me, and I begin to gasp for air.

"I knew I was stronger than you! I've been waiting for this moment for so long, I have wanted to kill you for so long!" She says gripping tighter with every passing second. "All I've heard my entire life from our master, 'good job, Y/N!' 'You'll be a great Jedi master, Y/N!'  Not anymore, I am the Master!" She yells and someone shot her in the back and her grip on my neck faltered.

I gasp for air and I force push her back, and looked up, it was Poe.

Janet got up and started to force choke Poe, I ignited my lightsaber, and cut her arm off, and she fell to ground, dying from the loss of blood.

I run over to Poe, and he stood up, breathing in deeply, "I'm okay." He said, and I punched him in the arm,

"You could have died!" I shouted and he pulled me into a hug.

"You could have too, but I wasn't going to let anyone hurt my girl. Even if they are a Sith." He said, and kissed me hard.

I walk over to Janet, and she was dead. I picked up her lightsaber, and threw it in the air, and cut it in half with mine.

Poe walked up behind me and put an arm around me " I watched you fight her, and I can't help but to think, ' My girlfriend is such a badass'." He says with a smile, and I chuckle,

"I love you." I tell him, and he smirks,

"I know."
