High school sucks. Especially where I live. It's super boring, and the only exciting things that go on are sporting events. Sure, I've been to parties, but you aren't having fun unless you're completely wasted and pretty much relying on your friends to take care of you. I don't drink when I go to parties. I am a bit paranoid that I will drink too much and I will make a fool out of myself.

I guess I am pretty smart. I get good grades, although I am not in any honors classes. I don't mind not being one of the smartest teens in the world, because that isn't important to me. I would rather get amazing grades in regular, average classes, than barely pass an AP class. Anyways, it's not just the school that I despise, but also the people. I have my group of friends like everybody else. I'm not popular, but I am well known. Not for anything in particular, but people know who I am. You got the bitches, the popular teens, and then you have the popular bitches. Let's not forget about the teens who are still playing with Pokémon cards at the age of 18. Then you have my group of friends. Not popular, not gamers, not Goth, just normal... average. And average means boring. But the most annoying thing about my friends are that they dream of being popular. All they care about is people noticing them, people liking them, and what people think of them. To be honest, they all probably think that my friends are a whole bunch of wannabees, because they are. But they are good at it. They get invited to parties, they date jocks... and then there's me. The one friend that is just there.

And I'm not going to leave out my least favorite group of teens. The jocks. I don't understand why girls think they are so amazing. They are very judgmental, and they think they are badass because they can throw a ball. I am not judging them stereotypically though. I told you, my friends have dated some of them; they try to hang out with that crowd. To me, jocks are just wimps. Wimps that try to act like they are better then everyone.

Enough of my complaining, I guess I will tell you a bit about myself, rather than my school. I live with my mom, dad and sister in a small suburban town. I live about 15 minutes away from Los Angeles which is nice. I have always wanted to be in the city, with all of the lights and cultures around me. The suburbs bore me to death. The worst part is that I have to work at the most boring Diner in the world. When you live in a tiny town, not a lot of people are constantly going into the same restaurant. It's just horrible. I guess it's quiet around here, but I wouldn't consider that a good thing. Ummmm what else is there about me. Oh! I love music! I love rock music to be exact. Who doesn't love The Eagles and Aerosmith, Queen, Kansas and the list goes on. I actually play guitar, electric guitar. The only people who know are my mom, dad and sister. I can't tell my friends. They wouldn't think it was "cool" or it would bring down there "reputation".

The last thing about me is my love life. When you live in a small, isolated town, there aren't a lot of guys. The only guys are the douche bags in school. There is no one ever new around here. Sure, I've been on dates, actually one of which was the Quarterback of the football team. That was a bad idea. He made grass look smart. I felt like I was talking to a 7 year old pervert. I guess I gave up with finding a boyfriend for high school. I tried to not be picky, but I am a picky person. Its just what I do.

Looking at the time, I have spent about 8 minutes explaining myself to you all, and I must get ready for school.

Looking at the alarm clock, it reads 6:00 am. That's roughly the time I get up for school. Walking over to my closet, I pick out my outfit for the day. I decide on a cute, flowy, light pink skirt with a plain white blouse. I put on my light pink flats, a pearl necklace and some faux diamond studs in my ears. My medium length, blonde hair lies on my shoulders as I comb it out. I don't have too much to it, luckily. I already fixed it last night.

After applying my makeup which consists of concealer, powder, thin eyeliner, mascara and lip-gloss, I head downstairs. Once I ate my breakfast, I left for school. I get in my car and drive to pick up my friend Lucy. She is my best friend. Out of all my friends, she is the most like me which means not caring about popularity, thinking the jocks are idiots, and we like the same kind of music.

"Hey Rosie!" Lucy exclaimed with excitement as she jumped in the passenger's seat. She was always so happy. I always wonder where she gets all of this energy from. Lucy is about my height which is 5'4". Not too tall, not too small. But she is absolutely beautiful. Her dark brown hair is always perfectly waved, and it is so healthy looking. She has the most prettiest eyes ever as well. I always wonder why guys don't ask her out a lot. She is the prettiest one out of all of us, making her the most hated by the rest of my friends. They are a very competitive group of friends, let me tell you that.

"Morning Lucy!" I replied back, mocking her excitement.

"Are you ready for schoooool?" She asked as if she was a child, asking about her friends crush.

"No." I reply with a straight face.

"You're no fun." Lucy pouts.

"I'm sorry I am not ecstatic about seeing those jackasses called students at the prision we call school." I remark sarcastically.

"Hey! You think I want to go? I am just as fed up with this town as you are, I just try to be a bit more optimistic." She adds. Lucy always was the one to be by my side when I was ditched or left behind. She understood my feelings about our tiny town, she as well wanted to get into the city.

"I can tell." I mutter.

"Okay, how about this, when we go to that party after the football game tonight, we leave and go out." She implies.

"What do you mean by 'go out'?" I questioned.

"I mean, let's go on a road trip. Not an hour long one, but let's go to the city. Neither of our parents will mind, as long as we say we will be staying over Maddie's house! We can finally get out of this tiny town, and go explore the real world!" Maddie was our friend who got us into all of the parties. The parties usually start AS SOON AS THEY CAN! Sometimes they will start by fans of the football team when the game isn't even over yet.

That was it. Me and Lucy, planned to go to the city at 8pm tomorrow night which was also Friday night. We finally get to explore on our own. See what we are missing.

Hey guys! I know this chapter wasn't that great, but I really wanted you guys to get to meet Rosie, and her friend Lucy. I wanted you to understand how close their friendship is and I wanted to end it with the beginning of their journey that will continue for the rest of this story. Also I am so sorry that you haven't gotten to meet Max yet! I promise that he will be in the next chapter at some point. I am sorry if it was kind of boring, I will eventually edit it, and cut it down to make it shorter, but I wanted to make sure I got all the information I needed in there. I plan on having the next Chapter up within the next 2-3 days! I am off from school because of Memorial Day, so I have time to write another chapter or two. I am really excited for this story. I have so many ideas for it! Comment, Vote and tell me what you think about it. Also please follow if you like this story so far! Love you guys! :*
