"Scarlett, honey." Scarlett grunted out a response, scrunching up her nose. "Come on, Red. It's time to wake up sweetheart." Scarlett's eyes softly flutter open to look at the person that was disturbing her sleep. "Hi there sleepy girl." A soft smile pulled at her lips as a gentle hand softly caressed her wild bed hair. "You got some presents to open, Matt has already gone to town on his." Scarlett let out a yawn and slowly sat up. "Okay." She nods, another yawn escaping her lips, making her dad chuckle softly. "Come on, kiddo. Let's go open up your gifts."

Scarlett followed her father from her bedroom to the small living area where their Charlie Brown Christmas tree stood in the corner and a few presents sit unwrapped that were just for her. Matt sat in the middle of torn wrapping paper and sat playing with his toys.

Matt looked up at his sister with bright eyes, smiling widely. "Merry Christmas, Scar! Look what I got!" Matt said motioning to all the toys around him and she smiled at her brother. "Those are awesome, Matt! Merry Christmas." She patted the top of his head before dropping to her knees beside the Christmas tree and picked up the first present. She tore the red and green wrapping paper and a soft black blanket was reviled to her she smiled brightly at her dad and he just smiled as he watched her.

Scarlett opened the next one and it was a doll that she has been wanting for the longest time and she was ecstatic. Finally, she grabbed the last one. The last present was small, smaller than the last two presents and this sparked her curiosity even more. Scarlett tore the festive paper and a red velvet box was presented to her. She narrowed her eyes at it but lifted the top of it and her eyes widened at what was inside. On a copper chain was a red rose and in the middle of the rose was a bright ruby that stared back at her.

"It made me think of you when I saw it, so I got it for ya." Scarlett stood and walked over to her dad who was sat in his beat up old chair and wrapped her arms tightly around his shoulders, box still in hand. "Thank you, dad." She mumbled into his neck and he held her close. "Merry Christmas."

"Hows the potatoes going?" Scarlett asked as she walked back into the kitchen to take a peek at the potatoes. Olivia was currently dumping the boiling water and getting ready to mash the potatoes. "They are just fine, getting close to being done. Oh, and I put the cheesecake in the fridge." Olivia informed her as she began mashing the potatoes."Awesome. Thank you so much for helping, Olive." Olivia waved Scarlett off as she continued her task at hand. "You know I don't mind. I'm always happy to help."

"Momma!" Scarlett peeked into the living room. "What's up, kiddo?" Scarlett asked her son as he held a toy airplane that Santa brought him, making it fly around and made some plane noises with his mouth. "When is uncle Matt gonna get here? I want him to feel what the plane looks at." Scarlett chuckled at the way he said it. Jack knows that how Matt "sees" things is to touch them. "I dunno bud but he'll get here eventually." Scarlett knew that at this moment he was burring Elektra and he was gonna take some time doing that and she didn't want to rush him.

The door to the apartment swings open and in walks Matt, his arm holding some presents. "Speaking of the devil!" Olivia smirks and Scarlett shakes her head. "Uncle Matt!" Jack yells, hugging Matts' legs. "Hey, buddy." Matt chuckles, wrapping his free arm around Jack, squeezing him tightly. Scarlett walked up to Matt and gave him a pat on the shoulder. Matt smiled then handed Jack a few presents. "Go set these under the tree for me, please?" Jack took the gifts and rushed over to the tree. "This one's for you," Matt said holding out a small one to Scarlett who slowly took it from him. "Matt, you didn't have to-"

"It's something that you've already gotten. I just, fixed it up." Matt shrugged with a smile. Scarlett looked at him strangely before unwrapping the present, seeing it in a black box. She opened the lid and her eyes widened, tears springing to her eyes. "Oh, Matty. Thank you so much." Scarlett said as she lifted the necklace out of the box, seeing that the ruby was in tack. "But when did you even get this? It's been on my dresser for the longest time?"

"Eh, don't worry about it." She chuckled and wrapped her arms around her brother, pulling him in a tight hug. "Merry Christmas, Scar." She smiled. "Merry Christmas, Matt." The door to her apartment opens and in walks Karen. "Hey!" Scarlett says, pulling away from Matt and pulling Karen into a tight embrace. "I'm glad you could make it."

"I am too. Thank you for inviting me." Karen smiled at Scarlett as she pulled away from the hug. "And I brought some cookies," Karen said holding out a dish that held various types of cookies. "Awesome, you can put them in the kitchen." Karen nods and Foggy walks into the still open door, dragging in a large present. "Dang, Fog. You didn't have to go all out." Scarlett said as he dragged in the large gift. "Uh, I didn't." He left the present in the doorway, shutting the door. "It was just outside your door." Scarlett looked at the box strangely, kneeling down to look at the tag to see who it is for and who it was from.

To: Jack

From: Santa Claus

Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "Who's it for momma?" Jack asked as she rounded the couch to stand beside Scarlett. "Uh, it says it's for you bud." Jacks eyes widened at the four-foot box. "For me?" Scarlett slowly nods, eyeing the box. "Yep, and it says it's from Santa."

"But Santa already brought me presents." Scarlett looked at her friends that stood around. Karen stood in the doorway of the kitchen with a hand on her hip, Matt leaning against the back of the couch, Foggy was sat on a stool and Olivia peeked through the opening over the bar from inside the kitchen. "Maybe he forgot one so he dropped it off," Karen suggested and Jack smiled. "Yeah! Can I open it, momma? Please?" Scarlett glances at Karen and she shrugs.

"Yeah, go ahead buddy." Scarlett stood close as Jack unwrapped the present and his eyes widened at the picture that was in the side of the box. "A dinosaur!" Scarlett's eyes widened at the gift, surprised that it was something Jack has been wanting for the longest time but she was also very confused. If no one in this room was the one who got the gift, then who did? That thought soon escaped her thought as her son excitedly jumped up and down, eyes full of joy.

From the roof of the building across from Scarlett's apartment the one that got the present for Jack stood, hands holding a scope as he looked down it. He could see right through the window in Scarlett's bedroom and down the hall where Scarlett was helping Jack open the box, soon pulling out the large dinosaur toy. The sides of his eyes crinkling up as he chuckles softly, watching as Jack gawked at the dinosaur, eyes wide. He shifts the scope, Scarlett coming into his line of sight. She was beautiful as always. Wearing a deep red sweater with dark jeans, her hair was straightened and there was a bright smile on her face as she watched her son lovingly.

Frank stepped back from the edge of the building, pulling the scope away from his eye. "Merry Christmas." He mumbles, taking one last look at Scarlett's window before walking away and never looking back no matter how hard it was.
