It was after thanksgiving break, and geles decided to finish her semester on the computer but would go back in January. Terrence came home and heard about the accusations against him and beat Geles for it. This time she didn't cry, she just laid there while he beat her. Darlene and David tried reaching out to Geles but the messages from David soon stopped. She would message Darlene every now and then, but with her new job and studying to pass the ASVAB she was busy. Tichina made Geles get a job so she could stay off the streets.
So after her support group meetings, Geles headed to Big Tony's BBQ shack like clockwork. It was cool, the manager/owner was nice and funny. Geles got along with the coworkers well especially Matthew one of the guys that worked there so always flirted with her. Geles made it very clear she wasn't gonna date him but Matthew still flirted, even though he had a girlfriend he knew would go crazy if she was there but he didn't care.
"You know you fine as fuck right?" Matthew said wrapping his arm around Geles. It was around three and the place was of course packed but all the dining area was accounted for Matthew, Leilani and Geles just sat around joking around.
"Matthew don't you have a girlfriend?"

"Man ain't nobody worried about that girl." Leilani and geles both shook their heads as Leilani started preaching, "See that's what's wrong with you niggas y'all ain't shit but fuckboys."
"Not all boys aren't the same tho." Geles argued and Leilani sucked her teeth, "if you believe that shit, you smoking dick." Matthew started laughing loud with caused a couple of people to look over at them as another customer walked through the door.
"Now that is a fine piece of chocolate." Geles was met with the back of a guy she knew all too well. "when did he get back in town?" Darlene told Geles, David went out of time for a little bit for business but he left because he had to go pay Terrence a visit in Miami. He gave Geles a couple of minutes to calm down but now he was back and he wanted his girl on his arms. No, starch that he needed his girl. Geles didn't know it but she was one of the reasons david continued to take his meds even when he didn't want to. He didn't want to mess up and accidentally hit Geles, because he knew that would happen. Or snap on her over some-thing petty and lose her forever because she didn't want to be with a crazy dude.
"What's up big tony?" Tony turned around from fixing another thing of chicken wings, and he threw his hands up when he saw Dave, "East, my son!" David laughed as they hugged. Big Tony was like the god father of Halrem, nothing went down in his city that he didn't know about. He always there for any young boy that needed him, he had the advice, alibi, money if you need some quick change and the weed. And he definitely knows to cook them chicken wings that'll make a person stand in line for two hours as if they were a new pair of jordans or some free makeup. Big Tony was the one that put Dave and Hansen on the game and showed them around the ropes. He was like their uncle, and he helped Dave when he didn't have anywhere else to go.
