Chapter 27: Moving Out

        "We can't stay here any longer."
       All of us looked at Steven as if he was crazy. Yes, Ivan knows our location but we have abilities. I've been training everyone. They can perfectly defend themselves even in handcombat.
       "B-but we just finished the hall! Has it all been for nothing?" Anna complained even though she didn't help out. Tao nodded in agreement. He did somewhat. Can't blame him. He needs to take care of the others. Tao also helped Haru out a lot.

Steven sighed. I studied him closely. There must be a good reason why we are moving out.
        "I've seen what the Ceberus project is. We need to go as soon as we can. Tao I want you to help the children and such pack. Anna you make sure everyone knows and tell Mumei that she needs to keep an eye out, in the future. (Y/N)? You will take care of the weapons and other stuff we will need. Is that clear?"
        Anna looked at me and shrugged. We trust Steven with our lives. He knows what is going on, too. Tao nodded and left the room.
        "Crystal", I said and left too with Anna in tow.

      "(Y/N)?"
I put the gun in the back and closed it. After that, I turned and saw Mumei standing in the door opening. Tears were filling her eyes. Immediately I ran up to her.
       "Mumei! Are you alright?!" I asked hugging her tightly. She shook her head sniffing. Then it hit me. "Did you see anything...?"
She nodded ever so slightly.
         I was afraid of what she saw but I let her cry out on my shoulder first.
        "They are m-monsters... (Y/N) please don't", I had no idea what she was talking about. And I never will. Because the moment I let her go, she got shot. My eyes widened when I heard the noise. Her body became limp in my arms. She died before even falling down. I looked up, only seeing Ivan with his gun aimed at me right now.
        "Missed me, princess?"
