Chapter 28: Big Bad Wolf

As Ivan stood there with a smirk on his face, the night that he wanted to rape me came to my mind. Rage filled my veins. I tried to control it.
        Suddenly I felt calm. I closed Mumei's eyes and stood up.
        "(Y/N), they want you alive. So if you just follow me without struggling like the good girl you are then-"

Not wanting to hear his annoying voice again I raised my hand. In that small movement, black smoke in the shape of a knife hit him in his chest. Ivan's eyes rolled to the back of his head. Shortly after he fell to the cold hard ground where he belongs.
         Anna came in running. When she saw me with abnormal eyes that change colour every few seconds, Mumei laying dead on the ground... and that piece of trash. First thing she did was kicking Ivan in the stomach. Then running over to Mumei, trying to feel her pulse.
         "Ivan got here without us noticing. Nobody knows how but his creatures soon attacked us. I rushed here to get you", I nodded and left. Anna would take care of Mumei. I need to protect the others.

Once outside, a body flew through the air and crashed into the window. Its face was covered in blood and had three arms. I looked around and saw almost everybody fighting. The children were in the cars hiding while others were defending it.
         With a grin I took out my gun. Easily I shot three mutants in their head. One monster came running at me. It had three heads. It was running pretty fast. Sighing, I snatched two knives in each hand. The mutant growled when he saw my weapon. Effortlessly I jumped high, as if gravity no longer existed. I turned my body towards the ground.
        It was looking around confused. Not understanding what just happened. Then I pushed myself towards the earth. Crashing down onto the creature. Blood splashed all over the place. I heard another one from behind me. So I simply split it in two with a single swing of my sword.

It made me proud to see all of us fighting as one against these creatures. Using the abilities of the enemy. Even the ones that have no advantage with it could handle them perfectly.
        Léon always complained about his ability not being useful. I simply ignored it because I didn't have much to say.
        But now I saw him using it by blinding his opponents. Pretty clever.

I heard a groan from my left. I saw Alexej struggling with too much mutants jumping on top of him. He was the only one around the car with a few kids. Knowing him, he wouldbe said he could handle it all by himself. I was just about to run up to him and help him when one of them suddenly stopped. Amazed I watched.
         A few feet away I saw Samson fixing his eyes on the mutant. He was mouthing something the whole time. Eventually the mutant killed himself. I was fascinated and horrified at the same time. He could not only read people's minds. Samson could control them, too. Just imagine what kind of horrible things he saw. And what he did... I bet it will haunt him. But we will be there, too.
        I figured they could handle themselves.

A howl echoed through the parking lot. I looked up and saw a big wolf. Larger than normal. He had scratches all over his body.
        His eyes were fixed on me. I was the catch. Just like Fangfang told me.

I'm what they want. This is all my fault.

I totally forgot about it til now. It has been in the back of my mind sure. But I never knew what to do with it or how to progress it.
       This all could stop if I sacrificed myself. The rest of them could live. But what would that mean?

They could make more people like me. Using them like weapon, probably. I had no idea what to decide.

I was doubting too much. The wolf took its chance and attacked. Before he could do so Steven sprang in front of me. Instead it hit Steven. His arm got ripped out.
      In shock I stared. This was my fault. The more I doubted the more people would die. So I decided.
