Third person:
Y/N was pacing in the hospital waiting room. Early that night Barry had been on a mission against a meta-human while her and Y/Ns brother was in a hostage situation. Her breath began to get shaky as she looks down at her hands stained red with her brothers blood.

Barry Y/Ns boyfriend was sitting staring up at the girl in concern she hadn't said anything since he'd got here. "Why don't you sit down?" He offered going to grab her hands when she pulled away from him.

"I-I can't." She whimpered out resting her hands over her face. "This is m-my br-brothers blood on my hands." She stuttered out looking at the blood that covered her hands. The flashed of what happened kept replaying in her head. This was her fault.

"Ms Y/L/N." the doctor called out looking at the middle aged girl with sympathy. "Your brother just went into cardiac arrest, we tried to revive him but-" after the 'but' all she could feel was her heart break and her stomach drop.

"No, no, no." She strongly stated shaking her head as tears feel from her eyes "no, please,no." Y/N cried desperately falling her her knees, not being able to fall to the ground as Barry caught her softly in his arms.

"Ssh." He calmed her in his arms trying to get her up so they could maybe leave and face this at home. "Come on." He pleaded. Watching the girl he loved fall apart broke him inside, it hurt to know that he couldn't have helped.

When they got home Y/N entered the apartment with dried tears on her cheeks. Barry and Caitlin followed her into the house quietly on edge of what could happen. "It's my fault." She whispered holding a picture frame of the two.

"No, no don't blame your self for this." Caitlin tried to reason walking closer to the girl she'd come to be close friends with. "You didn't do this." She claimed.

"Yes, I did." Y/N shouted and slammed the picture down leaving a crack in the glass "because of my stupidity, he is- my brothers de-dead." She breathed out feeling fresh tears mist down her face "how am I supposed to live with that." She died out once again breaking down.

"No, you get to live with that." Barry softly said taking her into a gentle hug trying to reassure the girl she'd be okay.

"No, no, no I can't, I can't, do this." She screamed out in pain one hand hovering over her mouth and the other over her stomach "it hurts, it hurst, please make it stop." She wailed again making her way to the floor with staggering breaths.

"Barry help her." Caitlin pleaded giving big watery eyes at the superhero. He just shook his head with his own tears lining his eyes. Even if he wanted to he couldn't, this was to much.

"Her brother just died, I'm not enough, not this time." He breathed out trying to think of something that would help. But nothing. The girl was broken and couldn't be put back together.
