Sagittarius POV

I smile as I look through our year twelve graduation photos that were taken only two days ago. I can't help but let out a small giggle as I look and on of me and Gemini posing together. My mum must have heard me because the next thing I know she's standing behind me looking at the photos.

"Oh you all look so happy. I remember my graduation, It was so long ago. It felt like my last chance of freedom," she says and I look up in surprise.

"What do you mean last chance of freedom?" I ask concerned.

"Well, afterwards it's all go, go, go. You go to uni, get an internship and then start you job. There are no more holidays or weekends it's just work, work, work for the next five years," she says casually as she put some clothes away in my wardrobe before leaving.

"That's not how it's going to be, is it?" I whisper to myself before settling down for the night.

Gemini's POV

I have no idea what I want to do. Mum and dad have already set me up to go to uni and study became a doctor. That's not what I want, not that what I want has ever mattered. I guess if Sag is there it won't be that bad. With this in mind I smile and it doesn't take me long to fall asleep.

Sagittarius POV

After a somewhat restless night I Call Gemini and we decide to meet up and go for a walk.

"Hey, Sagittarius," he says as he puts his phone away and greats me with a hug.

"It's so crazy to think we've graduated, right?" I say making conversation as we start to walk.

"Yeah, my parents have already planned my life for me," he says and I start to feel nervous.

"Does that mean you're going to uni next year?" I ask stopping and he looks at me a bit confused.

"Yeah, I mean I don't know what else to do. Are you implying that you aren't?" He asks concerned.

"Well I don't know if I want to. Mum my said that once we go to uni it's sort of becomes the rest of our lives, no more holidays or breaks, just work. I don't know if I'm ready for that. Are you sure you are?" I ask and he sighs as though he's been thinking about this before.

"No, but my parents don't seem to be giving me any options," he says and I don't know what to do, but I know what I want to do.
"I think I'm going to take a gap year, I'll go traveling and then when I get back I'll be ready." Gemini looks down sadly and I pear down trying to read his expression.

"Do you want to come?" I ask and there is a long period of silence before I get my answer.

"I do, but I can't"

Gemini's POV

Not really feeling like hanging out anymore, Sagittarius and I part ways and head home. I really don't know what to do. the only reason I was okay with my parents forcing me into uni is because I thought sagittarius would be there with me. Now I don't know what to do. Just then I hear a knock o the door.

"Gemini, dinners ready. We made your favourite. I just want you to know your mother and I are so proud of you," after hearing my dad talk through the door I can't help but feel sorry for myself. I hate that my path is chosen for me and I'm expected to follow without argument, but I love my parents and they've done so much for me I have to make them proud... but I don't want the rest of my life to be the now. I want to travel. I'm going with Sagittarius.

One week later

"My parents were so cool about it, in fact they said they kind of saw it coming when I told them" Sagittarius says as she joyfully lifts her suitcase out of the taxi.

"Yeah well it does sound like the sort of thing you'd do," I say and she giggles.

"How did your parents react?" She asks and I freeze.

"Ugh well my parents would probably be angry with me if I told them," I say and she now she's the one freezing up.

"You mean you didn't tell them?" She asks staring at me concerned.

"I don't know how. I mean I know they wont be happy," I say as I scratch the back of my neck looking down.

"Won't they feeling even worse if they find out you couldn't even talk to them about it?" She ask and I look up to meet her stare. She lets out a funny little sigh and smilies as she takes out her phone.

"What are you doing?" I asked as she scrolled through her contacts.

"I'm calling another taxi so we can talk to your parents," I can't help but smile to myself as I think about how lucky I am to have her.

I was nerves the whole way over, now standing at the door I'm terrified.

"Hey," Sagittarius says and I look at her standing beside me.

"No matter how they react it will be okay," she says and puts her hand in my before I knock on the door.

*Knock, Knock*

Sorry this one kind of sucks and is a really bad way to end the book
