Chapter 21

*the night after Zach got back*

*Beeeeeeeeeep*

I hear the buzzer on the door. I check the clock. What the actual fuck is someone doing at our house at 2 fucking 30 am?

*Beeeeeeeseeeeeeeeeeep*

"OKAY GODDAMMIT WHO IS AT THE DOOR I'M TRYING TO SPEND TIME WITH MY BOYFRIEND." I hear Jonah yell.

I get up and see Daniel half way down the hallway and a sleepy Jack peeking around the corner of the room. I gave a slight smile to jack who returned it before rubbing his eyes. He had a slight blush on his face.

"Hey Danny, wait up!" I whisper shout at him. He turns around and nods waiting silently.

*BEEEEEEEP*

"ALRIGHT CUT IT OUT WE ARE COMING!"  Daniel yelled.

I had never seen him yell. Wow.

When we get downstairs I check I'm the peephole and see a gun pointed at the middle of the door.  I slowly back away pushing Daniel away eyeing him  that this wasn't a drill.

I see the man load the gun and I yell. "DANIEL WATCH OUT!"  And I throw myself back words dragging him with me.

The bullet narrowly misses us. We glance at each other and bolt upstairs. Daniel getting Jack and me getting Zach and Jonah.

I burst into Zonah's room. "Guys. Some one just tried to shoot us. That shot through the door. Get to the 'dog paw'."

Dog paw is code for the room under the house that completely locks. Titanium doors and everything. The only way to unlock it is the code. 09324.

"Guys some one just tried to shoot us." Corbyn whispers. I looks around and don't see Daniel. Corbyn races out of Zach and Jonah room, them not far behind.

"Daniel?" I say barley audible.

I see the closet door open. It scaring the shit out of me caused me to jump back. I see it's Daniel and I sprint across the hallway. He shuts the door behind me.

He wraps his arms around me pulling me closer to him, my head resting on his chest as we push ourselves as far back as possible from the door.

I look up at him and he just shakes his head.

After a few seconds he leans down to my ear and whispers. "If some one opens this door without saying the code word run as fast as you can to the hidden room."

"But what about you?" I whisper back, my voice cracking halfway through.

"Don't worry about me, I will just-". He snaps his mouth shut and hugs me tighter. I press against him.

We both heard floor boards creaking.

"Where are you, you little bitches." A mysterious voice whispers.

I start shaking. Daniels strokes my hair trying to calm me down but not succeeding. The door to the closet jiggles and we scoot away.

The door flies open and I'm frozen. Daniel kicks the man in his dick and grabs my arm. We hurry down stairs.

The door opens and I run in. Daniel come in and locks the door behind us.

We run into a huge group hug with the other boys. My watch starts going off at the same time as the police pull up.

Perfect timing.

"Happy 2018 Boys." Jonah says laughing and I kiss Daniel while Zach kisses Jonah and we all hug Corbyn.

It's been the best year yet.

But I'm gonna miss 2017. It was seriously my fave year yet. My boys got famous!

I went to my first concert.

I went to Nashville.

I highfived Eben.

I highfived Ava.

I got a wave out of Jonah.

It's really been a great year.
