You Won't Float {Pennywise x Reader}

{Chapter Twenty-One}

Pennywise sat there on his knees, examining your belly. "Is that...supposed to happen?" he asked quietly, glancing up at you. He gently set his hand back on your stomach then quickly pulled it away again. His bright blue eyes shimmered with wonder.

You giggled as he placed his ear against your stomach again, placing your hand on top of his gingery orange hair. He flinched a bit, still wondering and thinking.

"Yes, dumdum. It's supposed to do that." you said after a bit, smiling slightly. "Well...if you say so.." he mumbled, standing up and staring down at you. You smiled, making him smile as well. Pennywise held out his arms slightly, as if asking for a hug.

You giggled and hugged him close, burying your face in his chest. Pennywise was surprised by this, since you never hugged him without being forced. He chuckled and embraced you tightly, careful not to scare you.

You felt him tense up when there was the sound of footsteps nearby. He growled loudly and let you go, turning to see Barney standing there. Barney looked...awful. He had blood dripping from a large gash on his forehead and one of his legs was twisted badly.

"Heya Barney Boy. Back for round two?" Pennywise asked, laughing afterwards. "Let. My sister. Go." Barney snarled, taking deep breaths and glaring at the clown with enough ferocity to scare almost anyone. "Or there will be consequences."

You stood there, staring at Barney. Your brother was hurt. Hurt badly. If he tried to kill Pennywise, it wouldn't end well. He'd end up dead or permanently scarred. "Barney." you said quietly. Pennywise and your brother stared at you.

"Listen to me. Go home. I can't go with you. If I do, my baby might die. You don't want that..do you?" you asked softly, watching as Barney started to cry. Tears dripped down his flushed cheeks, his mouth hanging open as if he didn't believe what you were saying.

"B-But you're my best friend! My only friend! We're the mystery twins, generation two! Remember?" Barney whined, rubbing a bruise on his arm. Pennywise giggled, his eyes slowly changing to that bright orange color again.

"Barney. Leave. Please. You'll get hurt again if you don't." you pleaded, putting your hands together in a sort of begging way. Barney growled loudly, glaring at you with tears in his eyes. "No. You're coming home with me and dad. Dad's worried sick! I told him what had happened. He didn't believe me but he's still worried!" Barney yelled, stomping his foot.

"Barney Boy..I suggest you listen to (Y/N). You'll get hurt if you don't leave." Pennywise said teasingly and giggled at Barney's hurt and upset expression. Barney glared at him and slowly turned his gaze to the ground.

"Come on Barney. I'll even take ya home." Pennywise offered, smiling slyly. His bunny teeth said otherwise. They seemed sharper then usual..

You slowly grabbed Pennywise's hand and pulled him towards you, making sure he stayed as far away from Barney as possible. "Get out of here Barney...tell dad I'm ok. I'll come back soon. I promise." you said quietly.

Barney growled loudly, yanking at his hair and crying. He quickly turned and ran away, adrenaline fueling his mad dash through the sewers. He never looked back, hating you for what you had said.

Your eyes slowly filled with tears as you watched your brother run around the corner. He never looked back, not once. Pennywise giggled then looked over at you and sighed. "It's alright, sweet cake..." he said quietly, holding your hand in his. "Please don't cry...it makes me cry when you cry.."

"It's not that!" you said loudly. wiping your face. "Oh right...the hormones thing." he mumbled and sighed to himself. "Alright, lets get you back so you can rest."

He picked you up bridal style and started to carry you back to his lair, smiling slightly. His eyes were still bright orange, which you didn't really trust. It could be a trap...
