That same morning Shayne's POV:
I wake up like i always do, to the sound of my girlfriend turning on the shower, i'm light sleeper so any sound wakes me up it's really a nice alarm clock. I throw the sheets off my legs and walk over to my closet. Me and Maya have been living together for a while now and most of it has been great. I say most and not all because lately she's been quite busy doing other things and i started to sense something else, I don't think she loved me anymore. Which worried me because I'm crazy about her. I see her phone laying on her desk charging. Ever since she's been acting strange she's been very protective of her phone. I took it out of the charging-cord and pressed my fingerprint on the home button too unlock her phone. I struggle to find where she has her texting app but i finally find it. I look through the messages and the top person is a guy named Derek Longford. I click on the name too what she been texting him about. My heart sinks, it's all messages about when and where they were going on a date maya texting him my work-hours so he knows when i'm not home. I couldn't believe it, she' been cheating on me. I scrolled all the way up too the top message to see when it was sent and it was a year ago. My girlfriend had been screwing another guy for year and maybe she even screwed him in my bed that i share with Maya. I wanted to cry, no i wanted to hit something but i didn't i just took some clothes out of my closet put them on and took my car keys and walked out the door. In the distance i could hear Maya peaking her head out of the bathroom screaming after me. I sit down in my car and start driving. I didn't realize i was crying until my shirt were wet. I wipe my tears and i arrive to the office. Plenty of people were there already so i just parked my car and ignored joven saying good morning to me behind his car as he was locking it. I felt a little bad but right now i could really do nothing but feel sorry for myself.
I walk around the office ignoring everybody as good as possible, i just now remember that Ian will be announcing the smosh summer games theme today. My stomach started rumbling, I remembered that i didn't even eat breakfast this morning i just left. I planned on taking the elevator to the snack room to get something to eat so i started walking in that direction I kept my head down to keep me from seeing anyone's face. I turn a corner and "SMACK" i bump right into Courtney so that she almost drops her computer.
Me: oh my god Court i'm so sorry. I said looking down at the ground still hiding my face.
Courtney: hey Shayne what's wrong? She ask laying a hand on my shoulder
Me: it's nothing. I say shaking my head.
Courtney knows that i am a super-bad liar and i bet she knows something's wrong. She opens her arms and i, without thinking, fall into her arms embracing her amazing smell and warmth. I needed this i burry my head in her shoulder and start crying again. And than i thank her for being right there for me. Ian's loud scream across the hall breaks up our hug when he yells for everyone to go to the office room for the smosh summer games reveal. Everyone runs there with excitement and just pass us. I don't want to go in there now, nobody should see me like this. Courtney tells me to clean up and joins us later, i really appreciate her, she's always been so nice to me. I take her advice and go to one of the bathrooms i turn on one of the sinks and soak my face in the dirty L.A tap water and then i hear a buzz coming from my phone. It was a text from Maya asking me where i went this morning. I didn't even bother to open up my phone to respond i just put my phone back in my back pocket. I dry away some of the last tears and decide to go into the smosh office with a positive funny vibe like always.
I do my weird stale wobble and i swing the doors open and scream in front of everyone my crazy monotone scream. Everyone laughs and i take a seat besides Courtney and Damien who gesture that i should sit there.
Damien leans into my ear and says: Are you okay? We could talk later... I just nod as an answer to both him and Courtney who i assume is the one who told Damien in the first place.
Ian: so the smosh summer games season 4 theme is... drumroll please..."everyone slaps on their knees to create a drumroll"... tropical vacation!! Everyone cheers me and Damien do our weird grabbing on to each others shoulder spinning around and screaming Courtney and Olivia freak out together. When everyone has settled down Ian says were going to the Maldives four seasons resort "quite fitting since this is the forth season of smosh summer games". Ian: But... one of us can't join us... it's Sohinki since he's been quite sick lately or more like always so were bringing someone else in his place. Someone here that everybody knows and loves... Shayne's girlfriend Maya!!!
Everyone cheers and hugs me but me...i just stand there and i almost burst into tears again. But before i do run out of the smosh office room and into the smosh squad room and lock the door.
