Chapter 4: Thanks Olivia...

Shayne POV:
Courtney: "come on lets go..."
She reached out her hand so i grabbed it and she helped me get to my feet steady, i wobbled a little bit but i think i just was loosing a lot of water in my body from crying which made me light headed. We walked out to the parking lot trying to avoid everyone in the office, surprisingly we succeeded. No one saw us sneaking out. When we got Courtney's car she unlocked it and i got into the passenger seat. She opened the driver's door and told me she was just going to go and get Wes and she'd be right back. Then she closed the door and walked back into the building.

Courtney POV:
I felt a little bad leaving Shayne all alone in my car probably crying but i had to get Wes before we could leave. So i as quickly as possible run back into the office searching for Wes. I run past the smoffice and notice someone who's not supposed to be in there just standing in the middle of the room talking to Olivia, Maya.
I could feel my blood starting to boil, my skin getting tighter. She looked perfectly happy with her perfectly perfect double-life one of which is hurting my friend. I wanted to punch her in her cute little face. I could see Damien in the corner off the room just glaring at her and clenching his fists whilst she was talking to Kieth, Noah and Olivia as if everything was fine. I decided to do something.

Me: "What is she doing her?"I say angrily at everyone else in the room making sure not to make eye contact with her. "You all know nobody from outside smosh is allowed in this room."

Maya: "I was just looking for Shayne, Ian called me and said he was upset about something so i rushed down here." She said in her stupidly calm voice.

Me: "well go looking somewhere else cupcake nobody's seen him." I say crossing my arms.

Olivia: Court what are you talking about? Shayne was here less than five minutes ago until you walked him out to your car.

I could see how everyone was giving me a strange look. As if i was the one who they rest should be judging. Thanks Olivia for the extremely complicated situation

Maya: why is he in your car Courtney? She asked me quite frustrated as if she was scared of something that Shayne might be hiding.
Me: Why don't you call him and ask? I say as i turn around and storm out of the room.
Me(further down the corridor): Tell Wes to go Mari's apartment after work!!
Kieth: Why?!
Me: ...Because!!!

ONE SILENT CAR RIDE WITH SHAYNE LOOKING AT HIS PHONE AT PICTURES OF MAYA LATER

i grab my key out of my bag and open my front door to realize that I didn't clean anything this morning.
Me: sorry for the mess I wasn't expecting for someone else to come over.

Shayne: it's fine really, i'm just happy that i don't need to go home. He said as he sat down on the couch in my living room.
I sat down next to him and he leaned his head on my shoulder. I could feel my heart racing. I've always seen Shayne as a friend since he already had a girlfriend but now I didn't know what to feel. He's always been there for me through my breakups. I heard him sniffle and he wiped a tear from his face. I turned towards him and changed my sitting position so that i could lay my arms around him and cuddle him. It felt really good laying against his chest.

Me: do you want to tell the rest of the squad?

Shayne: i don't think so it could maybe destroy summer games and everyone seemed so excited for it so i'll wait until after.

Me: so you're just going to pretend like nothing happened?
Shayne nodded his head.

Shayne: hey do you mind if i stay here tonight i don't think i'm ready to face Maya yet.

Me: Of course you can stay here until we leave for the games and Damien can maybe go to your apartment and pack everything for you so you don't have to be there.

Me: Hey, i'm kind hungry do you want to order take out?

We ended up ordering home pizza and Damien came by with some things for Shayne so that he could stay at my place and Wes said he was going to stay at Mari's. So it was just me, Shayne and our pizza. We were about to sit down and eat our pizza when i put on "Don't be so shy" by imany (tip is to listen to the song whilst reading this next part) on my Bluetooth speaker so loud it echoed through the apartment and we had a bit of a dance party whilst eating our pizza. And honestly i think it cheered Shayne up he looked like he was having a great time. After a while he was dancing on the table and doing some weird version of the intergalactwhip and jumping up and down. I started to laugh so hard i got up on the table with him and before we knew we were dancing face to face. I could feel the sexual tension rising by the second. We stare into each others eyes. And just then the song cuts off because my phone's battery died. Shayne cuts the tension by taking a giant bite out of his pizza. And we both laugh super hard again.

Im sorry this part was so bad and that i haven't uploaded something in a while i've been super busy with senior year of high school but hopefully i get to write more soon.
