When we reached home, I was the first one out of the car and impatiently tapped my foot on the pavement as Charm inserted the keys. I cautiously check my surroundings, checking if he or she was watching me right now; by the bushes or maybe they're one of my neighbors. I narrow my eyes and scrutinize each window in the neighborhood. I see one window close their curtain when my eyes landed there.
"Hey, Grace! You coming in or what?" Charm calls me from the inside.
"Yeah, yeah!" I shout back. I hold the letter inside my pocket and remember which house it was and take a last look at it before going in our house.
I go straight to my room and close the door once I'm there. I sigh and stay leaning at the door for a few seconds and then changed my clothes into a loose white shirt and sweatpants. As I was about to lie down on bed, a sparkle catches my sight. I look at my jewelry box and the pendant got stuck outside the box. I go near it and open my jewelry box and took the necklace in my hand. I remember the note and I rush to the hamper to get it from my jean pocket. I lay the two mysterious items I found today on my study desk and eye them suspiciously. Are these things somehow related? I quickly grab my phone and open up my facebook. I scrolled to look if Isabelle's online. Thank God, she was. I chatted her, my fingers typing fast on my screen.
Grace Follard
Meeting place. Tomorrow. Urgent.Knowing Isabelle, she had seen the message a few minutes after I sent it.
Isabelle Levine
Why? What's the urgent matter?Grace Follard
Just meet me there tomorrow before classes.Isabelle Levine
Why not tell me now?Grace Follard
I'll just explain it all to you tomorrow. It's still complicated to say.Isabelle Levine
Okie. All of it, huh?I reply with a thumb up and then she went offline to eat dinner. I also hear my mother call us for dinner downstairs. I leave my phone and the items on my desk and head downstairs.

BEE DO! BEE DO! BEE DO!
I groan and cover my ears with a pillow to block the noise. Yet, it keeps on alarming that I finally sat up and turn it off. I squint and adjust my eyes to the light of my phone and look at the time. 6:45 AM. My eyes widen in disbelief on why I alarmed this early. Then realization dawned on me - I'm supposed to meet Isabelle at the meeting place in about twenty minutes. I stand up from my ever so comfortable bed and stretched my arms and legs out. I sigh in satisfaction when I heard my bones cracked. I go straight to my bathroom and go towards the sink. I look at my just-got-out-of-bed look and raised an eyebrow at it. I yawn then smack my lips as I take my charcoal black toothbrush and groggily put some toothpaste and wet it with water before brushing my teeth thoroughly to remove my morning breath. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I then took a shower.
It didn't take me more than fifteen minutes to finish my bathing. I now stand in front my closet, fresh from the shower; hair dripping, face cleansed, breath minty. I slap on a printed blue shirt and some bleached jeans with my favorite black converse. I take the necessary things needed in school and organize them in my backpack. As I was about to close the door, I remembered the two items. I grab it and put the note and necklace in my pocket. Hm, remind me to roam around the neighborhood to return this necklace to its owner. I make sure the items are safe, and off I went.
I walk down the sidewalk quietly while biting a chunk off my granola bar. Since it was still early for the bus, I just decided to walk to school. It wasn't like our school was that far. It only takes about seventeen minutes of walking and less than ten minutes on bus. I look at my wrist watch and it was already 7:20 AM. Ish and I were supposed to meet ten minutes ago. Nah, Isabelle isn't the earlybird type. I take my time on walking and finish my granola bar. I throw the wrapper in the nearest trash bin and then decided to jog my way to school. It was pretty dark for October and it was very humid.
