Riiiing!
Finally! It's time for lunch. I am sooo hungry. After that boring lecture, I could definitely use some food. I pick all my items and went out the room. The hallway was swarming with students. It was almost impossible to get to your locker without getting shouldered in the stomach or get hurt. I wait for the crowd to lessen and that's when I continue to walk out the room and head to my locker.
I input my locker combination and was about to open the locker when I felt someone staring at me. I try to shake off the feeling but it was beginning to become intense that the stare was like a heavy package was on my back.
I look around me and then a locker slammed close. I turn my head to look and then I saw a tall guy already walking away. He was wearing a jacket and some black pants. He had surfer blonde hair that almost reached his shoulders. I look away and fully open my locker when a letter dropped. I pick it up and read the message.
Well, don't you look pretty today?
You coming to that party later?
;)
To say that I was shocked is an understatement. I was beyond shocked. This is the second letter I've received this week. And it's beginning to creep me out. I read the letter again and noticed something.
It knows that I was invited to a party. I was beginning to feel paranoid that I quickly shut my locker and head to my friends at the cafeteria.
I entered the cafeteria and immediately spotted Isabelle and the gang and two other people. Guess who was joining our table? Yeah, it was Mitch and some other guy. I walk towards them and forced myself to smile so that they won't notice I'm shocked.
"Hey, guys." I said while sitting beside Luis. They all said some 'heys' and 'hellos' except Mitch. He was avoiding my eyes. I raise a brow. Was he still not over yesterday? I admit that I'm the same but at least I could act normal around him. I just decided to shrug it off now.
"What took you so long?" Isabelle asks me.
"I just went to my locker for a while." I shrug. She nods and then looks at the guy with Mitch.
"Grace, this is Justin." She motions to Justin. "Him and Mitch are going to eat at our table for today." I nod. So that's why they're here. If I look at Justin, he looks awfully familiar.
"Do we have class together?" I ask Justin. He looks up at me and I noticed that he has hazel eyes.
"Ah, yeah, we actually have Literature and Biology together." He smiles at me.
"Really? That's why you must've look so familiar." He just chuckles and then returns on eating his lunch. I take my lunch out my bag and also my wallet. I stood up to buy.
The line was a bit short but it was moving slow. I fall in line and put my hands in my pocket. I hum quietly to Mandy Moore's Someday We'll Know. Then the guy that I just noticed in front of me glanced at me. He had striking gray eyes and surfer blonde hair that almost reached his shou- Wait. It's that guy from a while ago! My eyes widened and he looks away. I continue to stare at his back. I was about to ask for his name when the line moved forward.
My eyes took sight of the delicious food in front of me. There was pizza and mac n' cheese and so on. I grinned happily and took a pizza slice and a serving of mac n' cheese. I payed for the food and went back smiling to the table.
When I sat down, I saw Mitch glance at me and when I looked at him he quickly look somewhere else. While I eat, I observe my friends. I glance at Mitch and he's still not looking at me. I look at Justin and he was silently eating his lunch but there's something I noticed about him -- he seems to keep on looking at Isabelle. I smirk at this new piece of information I just found out. Then, from the back of Justin, I see him. The mystery guy was staring at me. His striking gray eyes staring to my blue ones. He looks away when he noticed something. I look away and saw Mitch's head looking the same direction as I was before. Then for the whole lunch, he finally looked me in the eyes. He looks like he was questioning me if I knew Mystery Guy. I shook my head and he nods or I think he did. I was already focused on my food.
